2600 & Calgary Meets

Here is all the information that you should need for the monthly 2600 meets.. If you have any questions, contact me at webmaster@poz.8m.com for further info or directions regarding the meets. You can also use lordn@disinfo.net

Our 2600 meeting is on the first Friday of every month at the Eau Claire Market foodcourt. The address is at 202 - 200 Barclay Parade SW. Need an idea where it is? Directly south from Price's Island Park, in the north part of downtown. You can see the Barley Mills pub from where we sit.

How do you get to Eau Claire? It's about four or five blocks North from the 3rd St C-Train station. It's probably on your left, and there is a big parking lot in front. If you're driving it's probably best to park underneath. Parking costs less than five bucks for the evenings event (when you stay from around 5pm - 10ish.. Don't quote me on pricing though.) The outside building is a big one, it's blue and white. I think it says "IMAX Theater" on the front. Feel free to ask for better directions if this shouldn't suffice. At some point, I hope to put up a city map, and a picture of the outside of the building.

We sit right underneath (or next to) the milk wall. It starts around 5:30 and goes until it ends, which is usually around 10 or 11pm. Most of the time before the meet, we go to the arcade on the second floor for a while. This is located right next to the movie theater.

After the meet, we usually return to this area for beer and pool. Occasionally there are activities elsewhere, afterall this. Mail me if you need more information regarding 2600. Security and other staff who work at Eau Claire have no information about our meetings. They best they could probably do is point you to the milk wall. Otherwise, they're basically useless if you were to ask them for any other info.

Due to popular demand, I will also start holding a middle of the month. Some sort of Blackzine meet. If you want info on that, please let me know. The location and time will always be the same. Just the day will be slightly different.

If there is enough demand, I'll hold meets somewhere else between those days. That'll only happen when we get a large enough number of people showing up regularly.
