This Project involves the porting of the game Commander Keen made by Id Software, to Unix.
Commander Keen is an old, but stunning game which was released in the early '90s which was able
to run on a computer with a 80286 processor or anything that superceeded that and was backward
compatable with the x86 line of processors. Commander Keen was written in 16 bit Turbo C.
Commander Keen is not currently open source, so me and other fans of the game are going to be
pushing for it to go opensource aswell as many other old games made by Id Software, with your
help we can make it happen. If you wish to contribute by being on the programming team then you
may email fejed@legions.org detailing your programming
experience and then you will be most likely taken on to the team. If you have none, or close to
no programming experience then very soon, I'll have an email address for you to contact and say
that you want Commander Keen to be open source.
