RE:	Kevin David Mitnick v. United States,
		Application No. A-157

To the Clerk of the Court:

Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 22, Applicant Kevin David Mitnick hereby
renews his application for bail and designates that the application be
directed to Justice John P. Stevens.

Recognizing that renewed applications are disfavored, this Applicant
respectfully re-submits this matter on the grounds that he has been ordered
detained without ever having the benefit of a detention hearing. Given this
fact, this Court could not have properly found that his continued detention
was legal. Under these extraordinary circumstances, re-submission of this
application is justified.

						Respectfully submitted,

						RANDOLPH & LEVANAS
