FAQ - CCF files (TV remote controller 5.2)

 

a) How can I create my own skins (with learn command and macros)?

    1. You need to download and install ProntoEdit 4.0  from this website:

    2. Download manual for ProntoEdit from this website (at the bottom of this page):

    3. Create skin (if you want to create B&W skins in ProntoEdit select TSU2000, if color select TSU6000).

    4. Copy your skin (CCF file) to PDA (see b, point 3)

    5. Learn all commands with PDA from remote control

    6. Copy CCF file from PDA back to PC

    7. Edit this CCF file with ProntoEdit (make macros, assign hardware button to learned commands...).

    8. Finally copy last modify version of CCF file to your PDA

    9. Open CCF file in TV remote controller 3.1   (see b, point 6)

b) How can I add (download)  predefined TV, VCR, DSS..... to PDA?

    1. You can find about 4000 predefined devices (configuration) on this website:

    2. Download and unpack required CCF file to your PC.

    3. Connect your PDA with PC.

    4. In ActiveSync tap on "Explore" button.

    5. Copy CCF file (drag & drop) from PC to PDA (My Documents folder)

    6. Run TV remote controller on your PDA.

    7. In menu at the bottom of screen tap on "Options"

    8. Select "CCF mode"

    9. In menu at the bottom of screen tap on "Load CCF"

    10. Select CCF file from list.

c) What type of  IR codes I can enter to CCF file ?

    You can enter "Learn" and RC5 IR codes. TV remote controller does not work with entered RC6 IR codes end predefined devices codes in ProntoEdit software. If you want to use RC6.... IR codes just learn these codes with your PDA.

b) What is the fastest way to access devices in CCF file ?

    Tap on device name (at the top of the window) in TV remote controller and select device from list of devices.

e) How can I return to first (HOME) panel ?

    Tap on home icon (at the top of the window).

f) How can I browse among device panels ?

    To browse among device panels use two arrows at the top of the window.

f) How can I use hardware buttons ?

    The hardware buttons on PDA in standard mode (not CCF) is assign as follows:
    keypad up: + volume.
    keypad down: - volume.
    keypad left: - prog. ch
    keypad right: + prog. ch
    keypad middle: on/off

    so for example if you want to use keypad up, just learn something on "volume +" skin button and so on.


    In CCF mode, PDA buttons are assign as follows:

    keypad up: + volume.
    keypad down: - volume.
    keypad left: - prog. ch
    keypad right: + prog. ch
    keypad middle: mute
    another 4 keys are place as they are in ProntoProEdit.

    If you want to use hardware buttons in CCF file, assign learned command in
    ProntoEdit or ProntoProEdit.
