SEMIPHONE
This is the prototype of a new version of Semiphone. And of course you all know what Semiphone is. Its a device that receives poxat signals to peoples pocket pagers. As you can see they are messages on the air, or numbers that they can be called at or in some cases just plain beeps. What this particular unit does. It is an experimental one. It takes up to 3 or more different signals. There are 3 here in Holland and through one serial port lets you know what is happening through the individual receiver.
I don't know what everybody does with the information. But we have thought of a few things possible. You can certainly social engineer people. Certainly if somebody is at a computer installation and calls a serviceman number you can pretend you are the serviceman for the computer and make them reset the whole thing or certainly of course everybody in the States associates this with dope dealing so you can have a little fun there too... And there have been, I have heard of some cases where people have had fun with dope dealers.
You could possibly use it over time and relate certain events in the news to what you see on the Semiphone and after awhile be able to see if they release radioactivity these people get paged. So every time there is a release reported you see this group get paged and now all of the sudden you see this group get paged and there is no news report well..ah, but all this takes alot of work and its only hypothetical, we have sold fairly large numbers in groups to certain universities so they must have some projects of this sort going on.
