History of 9x:
9x was started by Substance about 4 or 5 years ago. The 1st 3 original
members were Substance, Schizo Man (now known on #9x as microdot), and some
long lost dude named Deliquent Dialer (ran the phantom tollbooth). these 3
kats did alot of scanning, haxing, phreaking, etc. One of the 1st releases
was 9x_0001.zip. a file on how to hack Ford Credit Net, a very unknown about
system in its day. Substance was the author of that one. Now its 2ooo and 9x
is still happenin. We have been releasing articles, scans and code for many
years and intend to do so for as long as time permits. We are always looking
for new members. Keep in mind just because we call ourselves 9x we are not
just a phreaking group. So if you have a tfile on cellular cloning you wrote
or something even general, as long as its original and worthwhile give it a
shot.
* What 9x is looking for:
We are looking for dedicated members who are willing to share info,
expeirences, and knowledge with other members and phreaks. we take info on
the following subjects (and more):

[*] Cellular
[*] Satellite
[*] Cable
[*] Tcp/ip related info
[*] x25 related info welcome as well
We also do a fair amt of scanning. Right now we have about 12 dedicated
scanners, scanning Datapac, Sprintnet and tollfree #s. If you have heard that
noone scans anymore and its dead, this is *untruthful*... We at 9x prefer you
use toneloc if you going to scan for us... You may be wondering why do we
scan?
We scan because we are curious as to whats out there. We release the
uneditted lists publically at least once a month we try and get out a
800 handscan and 800 carrier scan.
*** We do accept local scans. if you can submit at least 3 prefixs
at a time.
*** Please try and organize any type of scan list like the ones
on our page
If you deciede to scan plz try and use toneloc or if not toneloc
use phonetag. set your init string to max dialspeed: ATS11=39
should work for most modems.
Scanning at 1200 baud is the best idea to minimize connect time.
Use 24 second timeout when scanning 800s, use 21 when scanning
locals.
* How to submit to 9x:
You can either DCC your submission (zipped with your
email addy) to Substance (or any of the 9x members that
arent idle), or you can also email:
