Filcom

 The FILCOM program is a utility that compares two versions of a file
 and outputs any differences it encounters. For ASCII files the
 comaparison is line-by-line, for binary files it is word-by-word. To
 run FILCOM, enter:

         R FILCOM

 at ICS command level. The program responds with an asterisk. Enter a
 command line of the form:

         [outfile] = infile[,infile][switches]

 Comparison mode (ASCII or binary) is determined by the input files'
 extensions, or by the /A and /W switches.

 1. If the entire output filespec is omitted, TTY is assumed.

 2. If the output filename is omitted, the second input filename is
     used. If the second input filespec is null, the name FILCOM is
     used.

 3. If the output extension is omitted, the defaults are .SCM for ASCII
     comparisons, and .BCM for binary comparisons.

 4. Missing portions of the second input filespec are filled in from
     the corresponding parts of the first input filespec.

 5. The second input filespec may be null only in the case of a binary
     compare; this will cause the first file to be output in its
     entirety, thus providing a means for listing a binary file.

Topic? FILGE

FILGE

 FILGE initializes a session with the FILe Generator and Editor. FILGE
 is a versatile general-purpose editor developed by CompuServe that
 deals with data in a file by its relative position. FILGE should be
 used for files without line numbers.

      FILGE [[@]file1][=file2][/switch]

 If the FILGE command is issued without a file name, the file which was
 last edited in this session is assumed. If the "file1=file2"
 construction is used, file2 is copied to file1, overwriting file1 if it
 already  exists.  The results of your subsequent edits appear in file1;
 file2 is unchanged.

 File names may be placed in a command file (either separated by commas
 or one per line). If the command "FILGE @file" is given, each /EX
 command will open the next file in the command file for editing.

 To access the Filge alternate help library, enter:
