Address Translation Rules and Syntax
Parts of a Rule Addresses translation is performed according to an ordered set of rules in the following form.
- label is optional and names a rule
- match rule is an expression that will be compared to the local and remote addresses to see if there is a match.
- operator specifies whether the following translation is the final or intermediate.
- translation specifies the form of the result
- goto is optional and specifies the label of the next match rule to be matched if the match on this rule succeeds
- comment contains any optional notes that you may want to make about this rule.
Where 'I:' is the label for this rule, '3+{$$$$}' is the matching rule (match only addresses that begin with 3 and has 5 digits or more), '=' is the operation (final result), '{1}' is the resulting translation (returning the last 4 digits of an address, ':A' is the goto label followed by a comment.
Note that you may embed blanks in the rules as required for readability
