Starcom 7 Parental Control Instructions

Introduction
This information is good for all Starcom 7 and CFT boxes. Some cable
companies don't provide this information so they can charge you
a monthly fee for the the parental control funcion (they can do
these commands remotely.)
Deactivate
You must dectivate parental control before adding or deleting channels
to be locked out. The commands are :
- Press F.
- Press * or PC.
- Press 1,2,3,4.
- Press ENTER.
Choosing Locked Channels
The following steps are required to choose channels to lock out with
parental control:
- Turn on unit and deactivate according to above steps.
- Tune to the channel to be locked. Note : channels chosen
must be 2 digits, i.e. 02,03,..,99.
- Press * or PC and P indicator will light on disply. (either a small
dot or a small p on the display.)
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more channels.
Activating Parental Control
To activate parental control after choosing channels to lock out select :
- Press F.
- Press * or PC.
- Press Enter.
The unit will now lock out the chosen channels. It will also lock
out the channels each time the unit is turned on and off.
