Expnad Reception Range and Enable Cross Band Repeater

Procedure: Expand Reception Range

1. Remove battery and antenna.
2. Remove case attach screws and open unit.
3. Cut YELLOW wire looped around BLUE capacitor.
4. Remove -2- screw from corners of tone board to expose motherboard.
5. Solder a 100 uf 16V electrolytic capacitor with the minus (-) lead 
   going to pin 8 of M54959P and the (+) plus lead going to the 3rd 
   pin of socket 9orange wires).
6. Remove front cover.
7. Jumper resistor R35 with small length of wire-wrap wire. Solder
   short jumber across pads above R35 and left of VR3.
8. Re-assemble in reverse order.
9. Reset microprocessor by pushing RED reset button.

Procedure:  Cross Band Repeater Enable Procedure

select VHF and UHF frequencies  and press SHIFT until "DUAL"
appears.

To Turn On:  Press and hold REV and trun on power. Volume control
controls amount of repeater audio.

To Turn Off:  Turn set off.
