Modification For DR-600-T for 120MHZ(AM) and 800MHZ 1. Disconnect Antenna and Power Cable... 2. Remove the 4 screews holding control head to main unit (2 on each side) 3. On back of control head find 2 screews on top corners, remove them and open rear of control head. 4. Locate the 2 jumpers, one red and the other blue... CUT THEM BOTH ! 5. Re-assemble the control head and attach it to the radio. 6. Reset the CPU by holding the "FUNC" key while turnning on the radio. 7. Re-program your memories (You might want something from your new bands!) Now you have expanded TX range. The Aircraft and 800MHZ bands. To enter the new bands.. 800MHZ is on the UHF side, use the "BAND" switch to change from UHF to 800 and back. On VHF, use the same "BAND" button, but the one maked "VHF". When below 130MHZ, you will see the "AM" on the display. To use the 800MHZ band you must add an antenna to the UHF main unit at jack "CN59". You may use an optional cable (like the UHF coax from the rig now) by getting from your dealer, cable EAK599, and installing it in the extra mounting hole next to the UHF connection. Receiving sensitivity on the Aircraft band is great! Less than .02mv for good audio. The 800MHZ band has less sensitivity, about .07mv for 12db sinad, but can copy Cell phones very well...... Have Fun !!!!
