Subject: IC2SAT CHARGING PROBLEM HINT
 
 
IC2SA/T owners may be interested in a recent failure of mine.  
The internal battery would not accept a charge with either 
the wall charger or the BC72 rapid charger.  It was NOT the battery.
Chip diode D8 on the PRT board (the board on the bottom which has the 
contacts on it for an external battery) was open.  
This doiode must handle 300 ma during rapid charge and it is probably 
stressed pretty well since it is a miniature "chip" type.
 
Maybe this info will help someone avoid an expensive and lenghty delay for
