Modules with this production code might exhibit low or no transmitter output power. This procedure will correct this problem . Parts Required: 0.01 uF axial lead capacitor---------------------- C91-0769-05 Procedure: 1. Remove chip capacitors C17 and C18 from the TX-RX Unit (X57-3640-11.) 2. Install the new axial lead capacitor as shown in the accompanying diagram. The new C18 is connected from the board edge on one side and to the pad the "old" C18 on the other side. The cap should lay along the board edge. Note: Deleting C17 and C18 alone will not correct this symptom. The new C18 will be used to stabilize circuit performance. Deleting C17 alone will not cure the symptom. Time required for this modification is 30 minutes or less.
