MODEL: TH-28A/TH-48A/TH-78A
SUBJECT: Difficult Battery Insertion

Symptom:

Insertion of the battery into the transceiver is difficult or impossible 
due to problems with the release lever.

Corrective Action:
1.  A temporary cure is provided by loosening the two screws securing the
    holder, shifting the holder to the extreme left, then retightening the 
    screws.
2.  A permanent fix is provided by replacing the holder and release lever 
    with new parts that have been de-burred and modified to allow relocation 
    of the release lever.
