I use a TS 790A on uo22 with a Tiny 2 and 9600 bps modem by PacCom.
I dont know if there is a big difference between TS790A and the TS 790E.
TX connects to D81 thro a 1k resistor. D81 modulates a 10.645 xtal at Q73
on the IFUNIT board. RX connects to pin 9 of IC1 - the sub band FM IC.
I use the main band to transmit 2 meters on the uplink and the sub band
to receive 70 cm on the downlink.
I checked the deviation using a commercial meter but there are ways of
doing it with a scope. I can send more details if you need them.
Have fun on UO22 (and soon KITSAT1 also.)
