I was playing with the keypad mods that are pretty well documented for realistic / uniden scanners and when I tried the "hold 2, 9 and lock out" one I found that it had 29Mhz as a test freq in channel 25 (I think) This is interesting as the EU version of the Pro 25 is not supposed to cover the 29-54 Mhz band (only the US / Canada version is) However my scanner also had freq 66Mhz in a channel to so possibly the US version will be able to access 66-88 now? While this freq was fine in a channel, I could still not set it from the keypad myself set squelch to minimum and hit "scan up" and then put the freq into a monitor channel and then moved it from there into a programmed channel (100) and whenever I want to use that band I can just call up 100 and then hit "scan up" from there. It does not let you scan down for some reason so you may want to put various stages of the band into channels in case you fly past the req'd freq. It makes it quicker to get back to them. In the end I set my last 10 channels to be this.. (used monitor and program to enter the freqs to channels (you cant use direct entry remember) 91 - 29 92 - 30 93 - 32 94 - 34 95 - 36 96 - 38 97 - 40 98 - 43 99 - 46 100 - 50 Because the it scans through 29 - 39.7 quite slowly I set the freqs in this range closer. It may be possible on the US version to get at the missing band so give it a try. Also I heard that some of the older versions unlocked the cel phone freqs in this way too. There is certainly a few freqs in the cel phone band in the test freqs that come from doing the 2, 9, l/o thing. They may allow you to do the same sort of thing with them. --End--
