From amsoft@epix.net Fri Aug 04 16:24:55 1995 It's best to earse the DTMF memory and start over. In fact, that, to my knowledge, is the only way you can delete too-long numbers. You earse like this...and it ain't in the manual. I only found it out of desperation and frustration and trying every silly thing I could think of: 1) Select the DTMF memory you want to change. 2) Go into program mode (hold down the F/M button for a half second, like you're going to enter a new phone number.) 3) Press the..um..what is it? button. It's the one right above the on button and below the monitor button. It changes control of the radio from the primary to the sub band. 4) Press the call button like you're going to save the contents of the DTMF memory. 5) Reprogram the memory as usual. I don't know why that isn't in the manual, but it isn't. It does work, however. (By the way, with beeps on, when you press the...what do you call it...button, you'll hear a high-pitched beep. Hope this helps. -- Buddy Brannan, KB5ELV | (512)441-3246 (Home) | Internet: davros@eden.com | davros@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu |
