Preface: I've decided at this time not to tutorial but such little excercise for all newbies. So if you know what is bpr in SoftIce you should not read this I assume that you read myTutorial #1
And now: how to configure SI.
Attention: all memory addresses are correct ONLY on my computer so do not take over if something does not agree.

Target: Dial-Up Magic 1. 7. http://www.techmagic.com ok 500kb. Should be on Tucows.

We ignite Dial-up Magic. Moj Komputer\Right key of mouse on Dial-up Networking\ We choose Dial-up Magic and About. Appears fine window in which writes from programme that is not registered and press OK. When we know( just almost know code) we click on Enter Registration Information. Appears well us well-known window, write i.e. Zomo/CP' 98 and any reg. number 121212.
Focus on target, combat has just begun.
1. Start SI.
2. Write bpx getwindowtexta( works, i've tested).
3. Ctr+D to leave from SI.
4. Click OK.
5. We are now in SI, in middle of USER32! Getwindotexta - writes below, beyond command line.
6. Write magic search string: s 30: 0 l ffffffff " Zomo/CP' 98".
7. Write down address that is below register, max on left side of our text. at me 0030: 0034A512.
8. Write bd*
9. Write bpr 0030: 0034A512 0030: 0034A512+10 RW: this +10 is length of our nick (mine is ten)
Attention: Read this tut, print, remeber or use another nick and fake reg code.
10. Leave from SI and click again OK in registration window.
11. BOOOM! SI jumps where is our stuff written(in memory).
12. Press exacly 8 onces key F12.
13. Next we renew of point 6 our plan.
14. Now 2 onces wcisnij key s and [Enter] till Si will show on right sideZomo/CP' 98
15. Exacly 7 onces press Ctrl+PageDown and you see:

Above article should learn you how to use bpr in Soft Ice. In this way you can "repair" a lot of preograms, really :)
