The Micro$oft strategy

Will they suceed ?

Though Microsoft may be rapidly gaining a larger and larger market share, their support from fellow software manufacturers and even PC manufacturers is rapidly dwindling as a result of their ruthless scandals, which have led, recently, to a law suit from the American DOJ by the antitrust chief Joel Klein.  It was about time that someone took action to attempt to diminish Microsoft's monopoly.
Though some of their products DO remain superior to competitors, Microsoft are abusing their monopoly of the OS market to influence others, as well as using their money.  Have a look at SOME of Microsoft's 'trophies' from thier recent four year spending spree and ask yourself now, if you are a Micro$oft strategy supporter, do you still think they do not want world domination ?

That's quite a list, isn't it ?  It includes companies involved in news, publishing, media, television, cable, multimedia, interactive entertainment, new interfaces, e-mail, instant messaging, internet tools, electronic commerce, database tools and others.

Ask yourself this, 'What are the majority of these companies involved it ?'.  You should soon come to the conclusion that most are to do with communications.  Why ? Because Bill himself is on a quest for world domination.  If you do not accept the cookies from the Microsoft site, you cannot visit it as Billy will not allow you in unless you hand over what could be valuable or incriminating data about yourself.

Here are some of the quotes Microsoft have uttered within the past few years.   Some of them are even bringing about Microsoft's demise now. :D

"Winning Internet browser share is a very, very important goal for us."   - Bill Gates - Microsoft CEO

"Pitting browser against browser is hard since Netscape has 80% marketshare and we have less than 20%........I am convinced we have to use windows - this is the one thing they don't have." - James Allchin - Microsoft senior vice president.

"[It will] be very hard to increase browser share on the merits of Internet Explorer alone.  It will be more important to leverage the OS asset to make people use IE instead of Navigator." - Christian Wildfeuer - Microsoft manager.

"......[Windows 98] must be a killer on [PC] shipments so that Netscape never gets a chance." - James Allchin - Microsoft senior vice president.

"We are going to cut off their air supply.  Everything they're selling, we're going to give away for free." - Paul Maritz - Microsoft group vice president.
