IT'S ALL TRUE.   I CONFESS!

Indeed, I AM an agent of the U.S. Geological Survey!  

All will be revealed in time.  But for now it is important that 
the fax be made available to public.  This is a burden I have been 
bearing for some time, and the fax will finally give me an 
opportunity to come clean.  (Normally, I'd by violating my 
security oath, but once the fax is posted, my role is no longer 
secret and I can talk.)

It would be good to post the fax as an exact image on FTP, as Al 
suggests.  In the meantime, however, and for easier access to most 
readers, posting just the text to the alt.conspiracy.area51 will 
free me of my security obligations.  I trust Al and know
that he will post the EXACT TEXT of the fax, which can be compared 
against the image when available.

I know everyone is disappointed in me, but believe me there IS an 
explanation.  I did what I did for national security.  Someday, 
you'll thank me.

I ask your forgiveness.
