 CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1995--Syncronys
Softcorp has announced today the preliminary results of a
commissioned evaluation of its popular SoftRAM95 utility program by
an independent testing company, XXCAL Labs Inc. of Los Angeles.

SoftRAM95 contains two versions on the same disk -- one for Windows
3.1 and one for Windows 95.

"Preliminary results from XXCAL indicate that the Windows 3.1
version offers robust and verifiable improvements for users who need
more memory to run applications," stated XXCAL Lab Operations Manager
Tom Bonner.

Syncronys will make available reprints of the full XXCAL report
once completed.

Syncronys has, however, indicated that a problem exists with the
Windows 95 version, the net result of which is that RAM compression
is not being delivered to the operating system. The company believes
that it has identified the solution to this problem, and its
development team is working on a new upgrade release that will
deliver full RAM compression functionality for Windows 95.

The company anticipates production of this new upgrade release by
early December.

To address this problem, Syncronys has announced a comprehensive program:

  1) The company will automatically distribute the new upgrade
release free of charge to all registered SoftRAM95 customers.

  2) The company will post the new upgrade release on AOL,
CompuServe, and other online services so that all SoftRAM95 customers
(whether registered or not) can download it free of charge.

  3) The company will be setting up a home page on the Internet to
make this new upgrade release available to all SoftRAM95 customers
and to communicate the status of this new upgrade release.

  4) The company will provide an immediate unconditional money-back
guarantee for those SoftRAM95 customers who are not prepared to wait
for this new upgrade release or are not completely satisfied with it.
In many cases, a full refund may be obtained by returning the product
to the place of purchase.

If, for any reason, full satisfaction cannot be obtained from the
place of purchase, customers can contact the company with proof-
of-purchase to receive an immediate full refund.

Customers can contact the company by mail (Syncronys Softcorp, c/o
Starpak Inc., P.O. Box 12130, Greeley, Colo. 80631); by fax
(970/330-7655); or through the company's toll-free technical support
number at 800/808-0064 (international: 970/339-7134).

  5) The company is providing additional customer support staff and
extending its customer support hours of operations. Effective
During the week of Oct. 23, the customer support telephone lines
will be upgraded to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The current
schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PDT.
