The WaveLAN/PCMCIA card is a wireless network interface card for notebooks, notepads and other computing devices equipped with a PCMCIA Type II card socket. WaveLAN/PCMCIA conforms to the PC Card standard as defined by the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA).
WaveLAN/PCMCIA can be used to interconnect mobile computing devices to an ad-hoc LAN or wireless workgroup, or to connect wireless devices to an existing wired LAN.
