The atrocity, which killed thirty people,  took place in Diyala province north of Baghdad - one of the main battlegrounds between Sunni Islamist al-Qaeda militants and US and Iraqi forces. The bomber struck as people marched to a cemetery in the city of Baquba for the funeral of a police officer.

Elsewhere four people have been killed and 15 wounded when a bomb exploded on a minibus in Baghdad. A police officer says Saturday's blast occurred during morning rush hour in an eastern section of the capital.
