1079
POWER AMPLIFIER

The 1079 is a one watt power amplifier designed for use with a preamplifier, such as the 1059, or stethoscope amplifier, such as the 4020, 2049M or 2047U/C. It is powered by either the internal 9 volt battery pack or the external AC adapter (supplied).

OPERATION: Connect the AUDIO INPUT jack to the audio source via a suitable interconnect cable. Adjust the GAIN of the 1079 and preamplifier or stethoscope as desired.

Use the AC adapter for external power. Make sure the 220/110 volt selector switch on the back is set on the correct voltage. The front switches should be set on 9 volts and +. Always plug the adapter into the 1079 before plugging it into the wall socket.

Six 1 1/2 volt "AA" Alkaline batteries power the 1079.  Zinc-carbon batteries cannot supply sufficient current to operate the unit for any length of time. To replace the batteries, remove the cover screws (2) located on each side of the unit. Carefully lift off the top cover, remove the battery holder, remove the old batteries and insert new ones. Be careful not to pinch the battery or speaker leads, replace the cover screws.

As with any piece of electronic equipment, remove the batteries during periods of prolonged storage.
