One (humble) contribution : Pothead "youth hostel" : Amsterdam Visitors Club ...have to get the address back...(I said it was humble !) And the coffee shop next door And a few (more serious) saved things, to get it started : --------------------------------- I would say some of the finest coffeeshops are found in the neighbourhoods outside the red-light district, go for a walk and stumble on to a place you can call home. Our spot overlooks a canal, has few seats and a small but top quality menu. The place is called ÒLucky MothersÓ and if you are youÕll be lucky enough to order theÒSilver HazeÓ. (kindly given to you by Robert Bunney). --------------------------------- Well folks I've just come back from an industrial placement year in Holland and consider myself quite an expert on Dutch Coffee Shops (I've done loads of research!). The grasshopper is the coffee shop that all the tourists flock to. From Amsterdam Centraal (The main station) walk away from the station down the main road. After about 10 minutes you will notice it on your left (It's right on the edge of the red light area and is pretty good). However I think because it is so touristy you tend to get small portions of grass. Many of the natives go to "62", which is pronounced 'tway en ses tugh'. I have never been so cannot vounch for it's quality. but THE best coffee shop that I ever went to was in Rotterdam, called Rhythm. They only sell two types, skunk and skuff. Skunk is pretty deadly and better than the Amsterdam 'skunk'. BUT skuff is hashish made from female skunk plants and is absolutely mad. It's expensive but dangerous stuff.
