To enter test mode:

[fcn] [sto] 01234567 98765432 [end]

This will take you to test mode on most phones. If this does not work
try:

[fcn] [sto] 04021993 98765432 [end]

To use the phone as a scanner, when you get into test mode:

40 [snd] this enable the speaker phone

46 [snd] this goes to the volume control menu using the up down buttons

		change the volume

1 [snd] this is channel selection 0 - 2049 on tacs section

when you are in channel mode you can use up down or just punch in the
channel you desire. My favourites are 2000 down to 1900. In our country
these are the most busy ones.
