What is it?
 
PCR is software that lets you control an Icom PCR-1000 radio from a unix workstation.  Used regularly
on my Sun Ultra-10 & Ultra-1; sure to compile on other OS's, just make sure you change the serial
port with the '-d' flag.

Now works with linux!

Usage:

 
Usage is pcr [-i] [-v <volume>] [-d <device>] <freq> <mode> <filter>
Options:

   -i = initiliaze radio
   -v <volume> = Hex range from 00 to FF
   -d <port> = serial port. Default /dev/cua/a
   Freq = 0.500 -> 1300
   Modes = lsb,usb,am,cw,nfm,wfm
   filter = 3,6,15,50,230
 

• Great for cgi-bin web interface.
• Works great in crontabs; never miss a satellite pass again.
• Too lazy to change the dial on your FM radio? Use your PCR-1000 instead. Nothing like the feeling of controlling a radio through /bin/sh ..
