Rejection letters and phone calls that occured during my campaign to put anime music on the air legally...I was quite dismayed that my efforts turned up more interest by various agencies checking into the legality of my efforts at doing this legally, than from organizations seeking to finance my program. Such inquiries came from the Department of the Treasury, to see that I was paying the appropriate taxes, as well as various copyright pretection groups who wanted to know if I had cleared the rights to broadcast this music on commercial radio. So not only do we find that one must deal with rejections a lot, but also one must be prepared to face legal scrutiny from various government agencies and private advocacy groups. "Pirate" radio was much less trouble! |

The reality is, that big corporations don't give a dam about good programming... |
...they will fund only high profile events and foundations... |
...that will make them look good in the public eye... |
Despite the comparitively tiny cost of supporting our show... |
...the corporations won't bother to allocate even miniscule funds to a good cause... |
...if they cannot be convinced that it is of direct benefit to them. |
As a result of this lopsided attitude of the juggernaught of big business... |
...the indiffernce to one small man's efforts to improve the quality of music for America... |
...it is necessary to take direct action and do the impossible... |
...to operate a clandestine radio station to save us from cultural destruction. |
