Device to defeat public facial recognition operations by using high intensity infrared/visible/ultraviolet laser diodes or light emitting diodes (LED) to distort the identifying features of a person's face.
Prototype setup uses a group of randomly pulsed LEDs, of varying wavelength, projected onto the nose, cheeks, mouth, around the eyes, and forehead of a person's face. The LEDs are mounted in the brim of a common baseball-style hat or optionally in pair of glasses. Clothing or necklace based LEDs may also work.
If pulsed randomly and quickly the LEDs are not that noticable.
