Example of some circular polarized antennas.
On the left is an expensive 2-18 GHz AST-1492A cavity-backed spiral antenna (left-hand, I think) used on U.S military airplanes for their AN/ALR-69 radar warning receivers (NSN: 5865-00-240-4597).
On the right is an inexpensive 1-10 GHz circular-polarized antenna you can buy on eBay for around $40. You change the polarity (left/right) by swapping which side the feed is on. Replace the PC board feed with a piece of UT-141 semi-rigid coax for better performance at microwave frequencies and easier mounting.
In the middle is an example for a low-noise amplifier. It's a Mini-Circuits ZX60-33LN-S+ 50-3000 MHz amplifier capable of running at +5 VDC @ 70 mA.
