PICTURE THIS:

An unmarked black van discretely comes to a stop outside the home of a suspected hacker.  After clicking a few buttons and adjusting some antennas the technician inside the van watches his screen come to life.  After a few minutes he’s seen enough.

The man inside the house is guilty of hacking.  The technician has all the proof the D.A. will need.

The images on the hacker’s monitor have been displayed on the technician’s screen, in crystal clarity.  He has recorded every second, every activity, every line typed.

Science fiction?

The type of thing one only sees in movies?

No, this is reality, and it is known as van Eck Phreaking.
