FAQ

Q: what is the Anti-TEMPEST Network project?

A: The anti-TEMPEST Network project is an attempt to make a secure anti-emination environment from multiple shielded machines. The original project, started at nettwerked.net, was using communications security establishment and ontario hydro approved tempest equipment. Since the primary tempest machine cannot handle the intended workload alone, a second machine is being shielded in hopes of making a anti-tempest network. (the second machine is my personal computer and is not donated hardware at all)

Q: Wait, if this was started at Nettwerked, why is it here and not there?

A: The project just was not moving forward and in January 2005, The Clone decided to drop the project and it came to me (Cybur Netiks).

Q: what is TEMPEST/van eck phreaking?

A: there is info on that subject on the About/updates page

----------------------------

Q: what will this project be used for?

A: The original plan was to run a BBS-style system/webserver off the completed TEMPEST, and that still is the plan, provided I ever get a high-speed internet connection.

-----------------------------

Q: I have an idea for the project, will you use it?

A: If I feel it is relevant to the project (and legal/safe), yes, if I am able to. You can send suggestions to: cybur_netiks@Phreaker.net (no asking for email accounts, shell accounts, webspace etc. please)

------------------------------

Q: I would like to contribute, can I?

A: that depends, if you would like to contribute ideas/thoughts, email me, if you would like to donate hardware to the project, see the about/updates page, if you would like to contribute time and effort, nope, sorry, that is reserved for my personal friends only.

-----------------------------

Q: Is this project legal?

A: Yes, it's legal, and I plan on keeping it that way.

Q: what are the current specs on the computer?

A: see the about/updates page.
