This page is organized alphabetically. It
is focused primarily on Obama's campaign supporters.
The A.F.L.-C.I.O.’s
leaders voted overwhelmingly to endorse Barack Obama for
president, saying the federation would spend more than $50 million and
deploy more than 250,000 volunteers in this fall’s campaign.
John J. Sweeney, the federation’s president, said, "Barack Obama’s
record demonstrates he is a champion for working families and his
proposals will improve life for generations of working people and our
children."
Sweeney is an avowed socialist. The "Democratic Left," a
publication of the Democratic
Socialists of America (DSA),
boasts that Sweeney is a card-carrying DSA member.
U. S. filmmaker Woody Allen, best known for such comedy
classics as "Annie Hall,"
says it will be no laughing matter if Barack Obama fails to win the
race for the White House.
"It would be a disgrace and a humiliation if Barack Obama does not win,"
he told Spanish journalists at the ongoing 56th San Sebastian film
festival, where his latest film "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" is being
screened.
"It would be a very, very terrible thing for the United States in many,
many ways," he said.
Democratic hopeful Obama, Allen said, is "so much better" than
Republican rival John McCain, and "represents a huge step upward from
(the) incompetence and misjudgement" of the Bush administration.
"It would be a terrible thing if the American public was not moved to
vote for him, that they actually preferred more of the same."
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad weighed in on the US presidential
election today, noting that only one of the candidates
supports restoring diplomatic contact with Iran.
In response to a question from an American student about whether he
supports Democratic nominee Barack Obama or Republican John McCain,
Ahmadinejad did not explicitly name Obama but said: "The American
government 28 years ago decided on its own to cut its ties with Iran . .
.We do prefer to have relations, whereas one of the candidates in
this election would prefer that."
Most voters don't seem to care much about foreign affairs these days.
Still, being Mahoud Ahmadinejad's favorite presumably won't be viewed as
a plus by most Americans.
The
American Hunters and Shooters Association has
endorsed Barack Obama.
Who they, you may ask? Ignoring your appalling grammar for the
moment, the AHSA is a bogus "gun-rights" organization set up solely to
endorse far left entities like Barack Obama so all you beery gun-humping
rednecks will think he’s a bit of okay.
It was founded in 2005 by Ray Schoenke, a Kos diarist who, in fairness,
really does shoot ducks, apparently. At least, most of his
conversations seem to take place in a duck blind. Schoenke has
pissed away thousands on Handgun Control, Inc., Americans Coming
Together and a dozen of the sleazeballingest Democrats ever to run for
public office. So when Schoenke says "nonpartisan" you can be sure
he’s just said a word that has four syllables.
The AHSA domain was originally registered to DCS, a Democrat new media
operation, but they must have realized that didn’t look good.
Obama employer, friend and associate, Bill Ayers, has had a 20 year
relationship with Obama, and continues to be an Obama supporter.
Ayers, shown standing on the American flag, was a ferocious, violent,
revolutionary Marxist in his halcyon days as a Weatherman leader.
He and his Weatherman bombers were enamored of Ho Chi Minh, Che Guevara,
Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-tung -- indeed, all the murderous heroes on the
Left. Referring to the Weatherman members in August 1969, he said
(according to the FBI): "We’re revolutionary Communists."
In the sixties, Ayers advocated that young people kill their parents,
and his wife, the terrorist, Bernadine Dohrn praised the
Charles Manson murders. Alongside their Weather Underground
cohorts, the pair declared war on the United States and participated in
a bombing campaign that hit the Capitol, the Pentagon, and numerous law
enforcement agencies. The couple eventually reinvented themselves
-- first as academics, then as players in Chicago-area Democratic
politics.
Note: Barack Obama
was
serving on the board of the Woods Fund at the same time Ayers danced
on the flag.

The
Audacity of Barnes & Noble:
Search for 'God' Yields Obama Book.
I was searching for a book I read in college, "God: A Biography." I
searched Barnes & Noble's website using the book's title as my search
term. The book I was looking for was the first result given.
The second AND third result? "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on
Reclaiming the American Dream" by the Messiah Himself, Barack Obama.
I tried the experiment myself, and sure enough. Here's the
link to the search page. After the jump you'll see the image
of the search page result.
FReeper "Politically Correct," observes, "I can't even imagine a search
algorithm that would yield that result unless it includes a line like
this:"

Crack cocaine addict and former DC Mayor, Marion Barry, offered his
endorsement on the May 14th O’Reilly Factor -- "I support Barack Obama,
he is a good man," said Barry.
Comedienne and performance artist, Sandra Bernhard, attacked
the McCain campaign, accusing them of hypocrisy of "holding down the
middle classes and the working classes" and "It’s totally hypocritical
and stupid of them to point fingers at celebrities." She also
proclaimed her faith in Barack Obama and "I really like Joe Biden quite
a bit."
Bernhard show is being performed at Theater J at the D.C. Jewish
Community Center and its Gay and Lesbian Outreach and Engagement
program.
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joe Biden took to the
airwaves this week to "help"
the rookie Barack Obama out of a foreign-policy jam.
Oh sure, admitted Mr. Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee had
given the "wrong" answer when he said he'd meet unconditionally with
leaders of rogue states. But on the upside, the guy "has learned a
hell of a lot."
Somewhere, Obama was muttering an expletive -- and now Joe is Obama's
running mate?
Mississippi death row inmate Dale Leo Bishop’s
final words
before being executed included an endorsement of presidential contender
Senator Obama.
"Senator Obama offers hope for people like me," Bishop asserted.
"I have feelings, dreams, and aspirations. I don’t want to die."
Bishop
acknowledged that the election of Obama would come too late to save
him, but still urged voters "to consider what kind of a world they want
for their children. Do we really want a justice system focused on
‘an-eye-for-an-eye?’ Or do we want to ‘forgive-and-forget?’
Think about that when you cast your ballots next November."
"For those who oppose the death penalty and want to see it end, our best
bet is to vote for Barack Obama because his supporters have been working
behind the scenes to end this practice," Bishop said. "God bless
America; it's been great living here. That's all."
Senator Obama agreed with the murderer, saying, "there is wisdom in what
Mr. Bishop said" and vowed to "change our thinking about what
constitutes justice."
Here’s
another Obama supporter. This one is an Ohio judge with an
attraction to mass murderers and Communist thugs -- and Barack Obama.
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge said Tuesday the state's
lethal injection procedure is unconstitutional because it doesn't
provide the quick and painless death required by Ohio law.
Fox News has just reported that Sen. Robert Byrd, Democratic Senator
and former Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County, West Virginia,
today
endorsed Barack Hussein Obama.
This is the same Robert Byrd who was still using the N-word in
television interviews as recently as 2001.
The same Robert Byrd, who wrote in a December 11, 1945, letter --
which would not become public for 42 more years -- that he would never
fight in the armed forces "with a Negro by my side." Byrd added
that, "Rather I should die a thousand times, and see old Glory trampled
in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours
become degraded by race mongrels."
Former President and Hamas dupe, Jimmy Carter, has given Obama a
major boost by calling for the bitter Democratic nomination battle to
end on June 3rd and speaking glowingly of Obama's ability to "transform
the image" of America.
Carter did not formally endorse Obama but in an interview with The Daily
Telegraph, he made it crystal clear where his sympathies lie. He
even sketched out the kind of inaugural address the first black United
States president could deliver.
If the first statement he made was, "while I’m president of the United
States we will never torture another prisoner, and while I’m President of
the United States, we will never go to war unless our own security is
directly threatened" ... it would transform the image of the United States
in the minds of many people around the world.
The former communist president of communist Cuba, Fidel Castro, is supporting
Barack Obama in the race for the White House. Castro, who stepped
down in February because of continuing poor health, said the Democratic
Senator was the most "advanced" candidate running for the U.S.
presidency.
"As I left Havana earlier this month,"
writes Dr. Rens Lee, senior fellow at Philadelphia's prestigious
Foreign Policy Research Institute, "Cuba was eagerly awaiting the United
States' November presidential elections. The buzz around the
capital, reportedly from a highly placed source, was that Barack Obama
has already talked to Raul Castro by phone."
More than 80 attorneys who have been offering free-of-charge legal
services to Guantánamo detainees issued a
statement Monday supporting Obama's presidential bid.
The
Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) is representing several of
the Gitmo detainees (such as Majid Khan) in court. Not only are
they representing individual terrorists, but they are also coordinating
all the legal representation for most of the detainees -- more than 500
pro-bono lawyers.
The CCR's funding statement reveals that the International Institute for
Islamic Thought (IIIT) was a major donor to the CCR's work. The
IIIT was raided in 2002 by Federal agents as part of a terror-funding
investigation.
Not surprising that lawyers for Muslim terrorists would support Obama.
Almost non-stop for approximately 15 months, CNN, which has endorsed
Sen. Obama, ALSO gave Sen. Obama coverage all day while bad mouthing
Sen. Clinton all day long. When you calculate what this was worth
-- in what was in effect free advertising FOR Obama and using $1 million
a minute for air time on a channel as CNN -- you come up with a number
of approximately $300 billion in free advertising FOR Sen. Obama
(if you watch CNN you saw their ads for Obama all day long).
The Communist Party of Illinois is
working for
Obama. "What Obama can do for the country will help all
communities including providing jobs and health care. And the
number one issue is stopping the Iraq war, which is draining our
economic resources. If those things bear fruit, then they will
benefit all working-class communities."
The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a
tremendous
opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and
to move our country in a new progressive direction.
Barack Obama’s campaign has so far generated the most excitement,
attracted the most votes, most volunteers and the most money. We
think the basic reason for this is that his campaign has the clearest
message of unity and progressive change, while having a real possibility
for victory in November.
We will work with others to defeat the Republican nominee and to end
right-wing control of the new Congress.
In the long run, we see the need for an independent "people’s party" --
an electoral party that will unite labor and all democratic forces.
We also are working for a political system and government whose priority
is to watch the backs of working families, not fill the pockets of the
corporate fat cats.
Our slogan, "people before profits" and our goal of "Bill of Rights
socialism" say it all.
The Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism are
supporting Obama in the 2008 US Presidential Elections, writing: "Barack
Obama is an attractive, articulate and talented politician. A
former community organizer among unemployed steel workers in Chicago, a
civil rights lawyer and a progressive State Senator in Illinois, he has
captured that intense desire for change. "Change" has become the
theme of his campaign, resonating so strongly with voters, that most of
the other candidates of both parties have imitated it.
Hollywood star George Clooney said he was
backing Democratic
presidential hopeful Barack Obama here Monday as Hollywood gathered for
a pre-Oscars bash on the eve of "Super Tuesday."
Speaking to reporters at the annual Oscars nominees luncheon, "Michael
Clayton" and "Ocean's 13" star Clooney said he had been a long-time
backer of Obama and was impressed by the Illinois senator's increased
momentum.
"I've been an Obama guy for a year and a half and I'm very excited by
his campaign," Clooney said. "It just seems that the more time he's out
there, his numbers keep growing. So I'm very, very encouraged."
Hip-hop entrepreneur Puff-Daddy/P-Diddy led the "Obama or
Die" chant at the the Black Entertainment Television awards in June,
2008.
He didn't bomb the Capitol or rob banks like his contemporaries in
the Weather Underground.
But Carl
Davidson, a former vice president of the Students for a Democratic
Society who
traveled to Cuba to meet with Fidel Castro and still praises
the dictator today, is another proud radical for Barack Obama, serving
faithfully as webmaster for "Progressives for Obama."
On his blog, Davidson talks about meeting Castro in 1968: "He is a
remarkable man, with a photographic memory, wide knowledge and keen
insights. Cuba will change after him, though, as brother Raul is
already looking into the socialist market economy in China and Vietnam,
but will undoubtedly make any reforms 'in the Cuban way.' We
should all wish Fidel and Cuba well, and double our voices against the
blockade."
Davidson and Hayden take credit for launching the "Venceremos Brigade,"
hundreds of young Americans who were covertly transported to Cuba to
help harvest sugar cane and mingle with the communist revolutionary
leadership in Havana.
Davidson muses about how he could not support John Kerry for president
in 2004 because he was not progressive enough. But he is stoked
for Obama. Recently, he helped organize the 2002 rally in which
Obama first spoke out against the Iraq War.
While he is a skilled candidate, Barack Obama's ability to surprise,
stun and sweep over the vaunted Clinton Machine to capture the
Democratic nomination was rooted in his background as a community
organizer. He's now turning those skills to the general election.
But liberals aren't just on the march on the presidential level.
This year, liberal activists are spending parts of the fortunes of their
wealthy donors to transform politics at the state and local level.
In 2005, billionaire investor and principal Obama supporter, George
Soros, convened a group of 70 super-rich liberal donors in Phoenix to
evaluate why their efforts to defeat President Bush had failed.
One conclusion was that they needed to step up their long-term efforts
to dominate key battleground states. The donors formed a group
calledDemocracy Alliance to make grants in four areas: media, ideas,
leadership and civic engagement. Since then, Democracy Alliance
partners have donated over $100 million to key progressive
organizations.
Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg has launched a
scathing attack on U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama, accusing
him of gleaning support from the Ku Klux Klan.
The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., insists the Democratic
candidate has received funding from the KKK.
He tells the Guardian, "The KKK gave Obama money. They was (sic)
one of his biggest supporters ... Why wouldn't they be? The
media won't tell you that. They don't want you to know that.
They just want you to know that this [bleep] befriended this other
[bleep] who be (sic) threatening your values.
"But we all know all presidents lie to get into [bleep] office.
That's they (sic) job."
But Snoop insists Obama will still emerge victorious in the upcoming
presidential elections. He adds, "In America's eyes, that
mutha[bleep]'s gonna be president 'cos (John) McCain can't [bleep] with
him. Hillary (Clinton) can't [bleep] with him. He's winning
over white people, white ladies."
Ex-U.S. presidential nominee Michael Dukakis
backs Obama. He lauded the Democratic candidate by saying,
"Obama is the person who knows the challenges facing our country
better than anyone else."
Katie Couric returned at the end of the 6:30 PM EST CBS Evening News
feed to reiterate "our top story tonight:"
"John Edwards endorses Barack Obama, saying he's one man who knows in
his heart that it's time to create one America, not two."
Besides the Breck Boy, who says there's two Americas?
Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim congressman, a supporter of Obama,
said in an
interview with The Huffington Post, said the Clinton camp was
"opportunistically trying to reap the benefit" of voter concerns about
Obama's religious beliefs. Ellison, who is a declared supporter of
Senator Barack Obama, faced fierce religious attacks in his election to
congress two years ago.
"People are going to throw some stuff on the wall and see what sticks
and at this point the Clinton camp is trying to do whatever it can to be
successful," said the Minnesota Democrat. "And if that means
benefiting from political bigotry, I don't think they will try to put a
stop to it."
"I think that Barack Obama' s Democratic opponents will say and do
anything to try and win," he said. "I don't think there's much
doubt of that. And so, I think that pretty much would explain
[Clinton's] comments."
Democratic presidential presumptive Sen. Barack Obama (IL) met with
his
terrorist supporting fundraiser, Jodie Evans, at a $5 million
Hollywood fundraiser held last week at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion on
Tuesday, June 24.
In what can only be described as a big middle finger to the veterans and
military families who have urged Obama to renounce Evans, Obama met with
Evans and was photographed with her at the fundraiser.
Evans is co-founder of the leftist anti-American group Code Pink.
She and Code Pink have endorsed the terrorists in Iraq and have sent
over $600,000 in cash and humanitarian aid to "the other side" in
Fallujah.
Evans said in an
interview last month, on June 3, that al Qaeda leader Osama bin
Laden had a "valid argument" for attacking America on Sept. 11, 2001.
When Obama launched his presidential campaign in February 2007, he
turned to Jodie Evans, who had just returned from Cuba as a guest of the
Castro government where she was protesting against America, to co-host
his first big Hollywood fundraiser. He also tapped Evans to bundle
between $50,000 and $100,000 for his campaign. Evans personally
gave the legal maximum, $2300, to Obama’s campaign.
A
video posted at Indybay.org shows Evans’ fellow co-founder of Code
Pink, Fidel Castro groupie Medea Benjamin, describing in great detail
Evans’ meeting with Obama last week:
Obama's official poster-maker, Shepard
Fairey, loves Stalin, Mao, and the rest.
One of the most prominent Los Angeles artists, Fairey, made a brief statement, noting his
"great conviction that Barack Obama should be the next President."
Poster sales, he added, would underwrite "a large statewide poster
campaign."
In addition to popping up on many streets, the image later made its way
onto a T-shirt, created in collaboration with the San Francisco
street-wear brand Upper Playground -- and apparently onto the radar of
the Obama campaign. The candidate himself sent a thank-you note
(at link) and his campaign had Fairey create a new poster that became
the inaugural offering in an "Artists for Obama" section of the
barackobama.com online store. Fairey told Creativity Online that
while he has been politically active, there’s something new in the
enthusiasm he now professes to feel. "I just thought it was time to
stick my neck out."
Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhansaid on February
23rd, 2008, that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the
entire world."
"This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change
and be made better," he said. "This young man is capturing audiences of
black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's
audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being
transformed."
Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion's founder, Fard Muhammad, who
also had a white mother and black father.
"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," he told the
crowd of mostly followers. "A black man with a white mother could turn
out to be one who can lift America from her fall."
Farrakhan rebuilt the Nation of Islam, which promotes black empowerment
and nationalism, in the late 1970's after W.D. Mohammed, the son of
longtime leader Elijah Mohammed, moved his followers toward mainstream
Islam.
Farrakhan has drawn attention for calling Judaism a "gutter religion"
and suggesting crack cocaine might have been a CIA plot to enslave
blacks.
In October, 2008, Louis Farrakhan referred to OBAMA as the messiah. (video)
Jane Fonda, the actress and ardent anti-Vietnam war advocate who visited
North Vietnam during those hostilities,
has endorsed
Democrat Barack Obama for president.
There were no formal ceremonies for the endorsement.
Fonda was eating out last night and exited the restaurant, ignoring as
celebrities often do the assembled press contingent.
But a video camera was rolling as she approached the street and someone,
perhaps just trying to get her to turn around for a picture, shouted out
at her back, "Who are you going to vote for?"
There was a moment of silence. Then, the actress did turn around
toward the cameras, paused and with a smile said simply, "Obama!"
Then she got into a car and drove away.
Here's
something that ought to get you to the polls.
80 percent of the French want the Democrat candidate, Obama, to
win the US presidency while only eight percent favor John McCain.
A separate
survey showed that if Russians were allowed to vote in U.S.
polls, they would prefer Democrat Barack Obama to Republican John
McCain.
Obama has picked up
another far-left endorsement.
This one is from Britain's treacherous Labour MP, George Galloway.
In return for a gigantic ₤375,000-a-year,
stolen from the impoverished Iraqi people, this traitor toured the
world’s media proclaiming the Butcher of Baghdad a kind and decent human
being.
As an honored guest, he visited Saddam in 2002 in his bomb-proof shelter
far below the surface of the Iraqi desert.
When British troops went into battle to remove this despot from power,
Galloway despicably urged the Arab world to rise up and kill them.
The editor of a national publication for gay men, Genre,
Neal Boulton,
told us, "I openly -- no, flamingly -- endorse Obama, whether he
says he's for gay marriage or not. I know under Obama, it will
only be a matter of time until the country sees the legalization of gay
marriage."
James Hipps, project manager for gay-marketing firm Vibe Media, said, "I
am appalled. For our gay-lesbian- bisxexual-transgender rights to
continue to grow and not further diminish, then we need to stand behind
[Obama].
Former Vice President Al Gore
will appear in Detroit tonight for his debut campaign appearance
with Senator Barack Obama, extending an endorsement and urging all
Democrats to rally behind the party’s fall ticket.
"A few hours from now I will step on stage in Detroit, Michigan to
announce my support for Senator Barack Obama," Mr. Gore said in an
e-mail sent to his supporters. "From now through Election Day, I
intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the
United States."
The Obama campaign has
claimed to be "flattered" by the fact that the terrorist
organization Hamas' endorsement compared their candidate to John
Kennedy. Obama himself
told the Atlantic magazine that he understands why Hamas would
support him. "It’s conceivable that there are those in the Arab
world who say to themselves, 'This is a guy who spent some time in the
Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein and appears more worldly and
has called for talks with people, and so he’s not going to be engaging
in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush.'"
In case you were wondering who Tom Hanks is voting for -- Obama --
and he made his own
video to say so.
It's less irritating than you’d expect thanks to his self-deprecation
and candor. There’s no nutrootsy pretense here about having
closely studied anyone’s platform; he wants a black president and he
likes what he’s seen of the guy’s character, case closed.
Most people will vote for similar intangibles, or because there’s one
issue above all on which they agree with their candidate (e.g., me
backing Captain Amnesty for his Iraq policy). Which, incidentally,
explains why the Wright and Ayers associations are legitimate issues.
Former SDS president Tom Hayden is also in the Obama camp. Hayden
organized the made-for-TV protest outside the 1968 Chicago convention.
But the catharsis of throwing debris at the Chicago police, the
purer-than-thou sanctimony that tolerated no distinction between Lyndon
Johnson and Eugene McCarthy, and the exhilaration of "voting in the
streets" instead of in election booths combined to ensure liberal
defeats. Hayden’s orchestrated anarchy proved more damaging to
Humphrey’s presidential aspirations than any dirty trick Nixon’s
henchmen could have dreamed up.
Now Hayden is one of the organizers of Progressives for Obama.
Francoise Hollande, the head of France’s Socialist
Party, has
endorsed Barack Obama for U.S. president, and promised "to work for
the senator’s victory," in the words of the Associated Press in an
unbylined article.
The article goes on to say, "but he (Hollande) acknowledged that the
French Socialists’ endorsement could end up tarnishing Obama’s image in
the eyes of the American electorate, given the way some voters regard
socialism."
Gwen Ifill, the moderator for October's Palin-Biden
presidential debate has a financial (and personal) interest in the
success of Obama's campaign.
But, as Michelle Malkin
notes, there is nothing "moderate" about where Ifill stands on
Barack Obama. She's so far in the tank for the Democrat
presidential candidate, her oxygen delivery line is running out.
In an imaginary world where liberal journalists are held to the same
standards as everyone else, Ifill would be required to make a full
disclosure at the start of the debate. She would be required to
turn to the cameras and tell the national audience that she has a book
coming out on January 20, 2009 -- the same day as the inauguration of
the next president of the United States.
The title of Ifill's book? "Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the
Age of Obama." Nonpartisan my foot.
Jesse Jackson claims to be a strong supporter of Obama, but he was recorded over
an open mike, saying "I Wanna Cut His Nuts Off." (video)
The reason, "Barack .
. . he's talking down to black people . . . telling ni&&ers how to
behave."
These comments are not the first the elder Jackson has had to explain after
believing he was off the record.
In 1984, Jackson
called New York City “Hymietown,” referring to the city’s large Jewish
population.
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), son of the one-time presidential
contender,
said Obama’s victory overwhelmed him.
"I cried all night. I’m going to be crying for the next four
years," he said. "What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single
most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the
nation’s political history. ... The event itself is so extraordinary
that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its
significance."
Chicago Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill., was
the
anonymous "Senate Candidate No. 5" whose emissaries Illinois Gov.
Rod Blagojevich reportedly offered up to $1 million to name him to the
U.S. Senate, federal law enforcement sources tell ABC News.
On Tuesday, embattled Rep. William "Cold Cash" Jefferson, D-New
Orleans, became the first of Louisiana's four Democratic congressional
members to
back Obama's candidacy.
Federal agents
searched the Washington, DC, home of the Louisiana congressman, who
was under investigation on bribery charges, in 2006, finding $90,000 in
"cold cash" in his freezer.
Gotta get on board early to be in position for
those presidential pardons.
Ted, Caroline and PatrickKennedy endorse Obama.
Obama's campaign will send
Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, to Indianapolis
on Friday on Obama's behalf.
Kennedy and her son Max will attend a memorial ceremony marking the 40th
anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
On January 10th,
John Kerry, malingerer, perjurer, traitor and the LOSER of the 2004 presidential election, endorses Obama.
A few days before Eliot Spitzer went down in flames, in March, a
highly-connected Barack Obama super-delegate was
mired in accusations of corruption, bid-rigging and a dead-stripper
sex scandal.
Usually the media love to report the downfall of party
bigwigs, but not in the case of Detroit's youngest mayor Kwame
Kilpatrick. Much of the media downplayed the mayor's scandals and
did not report his party, let alone his status as a Democratic power
player who can influence the election.
Kwame, who is the son of Congressional Black Caucus Chairwoman Rep.
Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (D-MI), is not just any mayor. He was a
Democratic rising star, who spoke at the 2004 Democratic National
Convention and is the superdelegate to the 2008 convention thanks to his
position as Vice President of the Conference of Democratic Mayors.
Backing a major-party candidate for president would have been anathema
to Michael Klonsky 40 summers ago, when the organization he led,
Students for a Democratic Society, urged young people to spurn
elections. "By ’68, our line was 'Vote in the Streets,'" Klonsky
told me last spring. "We thought we had to fight with Eugene
McCarthy and those people." In August 1968, protesters clashed
with police outside the Democratic Party’s national convention in
Chicago -- but far from being political innocents who took to the
streets to protest Vietnam War hawks’ capture of the Democratic
presidential nomination, many of them never supported antiwar candidates
McCarthy and Robert Kennedy. "Those of us who have been in the
streets for the past five days didn’t give a flying fuck whether
McCarthy would win or lose," SDS declared in posters around Chicago,
"and now that he’s lost, still don’t." On the eve of the general
election of that year -- in which less than 1 percentage point would
separate the popular-vote totals of Richard Nixon and Hubert Humphrey --
Klonsky’s SDS bluntly proclaimed: "The elections don’t mean shit."
Klonsky, whose disgust for mainstream politics led him to launch a new,
Maoist Communist Party in the 1970s, today supports Barack Obama so
enthusiastically that until recently he was blogging on the Illinois
senator’s campaign website. And boycotting this November’s
election, Klonsky maintains, would be a "tragic mistake."
Ludacris has since been mum on who would get his endorsement.
But during a recent concert in Philadelphia mere days before
Pennsylvania’s pivotal primary, Ludacris stated that "Barack Obama has
my
unwavering support for his bid to be the next President of the
United States." He then went on to wax poetic:
Hit the stage and knock the curtains down
I f#ck the crowd up - that’s what I do
Young and successful - a s#x symbol
The b#tches want me to f#ck - true true
Hold up wait up, shorty
“Oh wazzzupp, get my d#ck sucked, what are yoouu doin’?”
Sidelinin’ my f#ckin’ bussiness
Tryin’ to get my baby child support soon
Then he broke into the chorus:
Move b#tch, get out the way

Patrick Leahy, the far-left senator
and jihad-collaborator from
Vermont,
chairman of the Judiciary Committee and one of the most anti-war and
anti-Bush members of Congress, has endorsed the Obamessiah.
Leahy has been one of the biggest impediments to the successful
prosecution of the War in Iraq.
He has been one of the top three supporters of jihadists in the U. S.
Congress.
Director Spike Lee, whose movies often cast a jaundiced eye on U.S. racial
politics, predicted a presidential victory for black Democrat Barack
Obama that would mark a "new day" for the United States.
"It's going to be before Obama, 'B.B.,' and after Obama -- 'A.B.' -- and
some folks need to get used to this," Lee said. "And I'm going to be at
the inauguration -- getting my hotel reservation now."
HBO's Bill Maher was
spewing some extraordinary hatred for his fellow countrymen again
Friday night, this time claiming that he doesn't "trust Americans to do
the right thing or make the right choices -- They're just too
f***ing dumb."
Why does he feel this way?
Because not everyone is going to vote for Barack Obama.
Yes, folks, if you don't vote for the Messiah, it has nothing to do with
the issues, or whether the junior senator from Illinois isn't qualified,
or even because you think John McCain is a better candidate.
According to Maher, if you don't vote for Obama, you're "just too f***ing
dumb." (video)
Marxists/Socialists/Communists for Obama?
Obama’s useful idiot minions on college campuses across America may have
no clue what types of change Obama has in store for America. But
every Marxist, Socialist and Communist around the globe,
knows all too
well…
“We support Barack Obama because he knows what is best for the people!”
According to the group’s
statement on Obama’s web site, "This group is for self-proclaimed
Marxists/Communists/Socialists for the election of Barack Obama to the
Presidency." -- "Under Karl Marx’s writings we are to support the party
with the best interests of the mobilization of the proletariat."
Obama's
Media Army, populated by the leftists in the Fifth Estate,
are outraged after last week's Democratic debate. They were
offended that moderators Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos asked
questions that Obama didn't want to answer. Worse, they
continued to press Obama even when the displeased candidate assured them
these were old and tired questions -- Obama likes to call anything
negative a "distraction."
The uproar is the latest confirmation of the special place Obama holds
in the hearts of a good part of the legacy media, a status ensured by
their shared political sympathies and his star power. That status
has in turn given rise to a tendency to provide generous explanations,
and put the best possible gloss on missteps and utterances seriously
embarrassing to Obama.
An example of this bias was provided by David Gergen, the senior CNN
commentator, who said, "Actually, Rev. Wright may love this country more
than many of us ... but we've fallen short" -- Gag!
These issues -- the unanswered, the suspect -- that outraged press
partisans have attempted to dismiss as trivia and gossip, largely
forgotten by the public, are unlikely to be forgotten, either today or
in the general election, nor are they trivial. This, Messrs.
Gibson and Stephanopoulos clearly understood when they chose their
questions, and Obama's answers told far more than he or his managers
wished.
Offered a chance to explain the meaning of his remarks about the reasons
people living in small towns cling to guns and religion, he went on to
repeat them all over again in different words. What there was in
those remarks, what attitudes shown, that had offended people, he had
still not grasped. In short, what he had said that day he'd meant
to say.
This Nov. 6, 2008, Reuters
headline, "Media bias largely unseen in U.S. presidential race," was
laughable because almost everyone saw it. American voters, by an
8-1 margin, said they witnessed a pro-Obama press, and even Time's Mark
Halperin said the "extreme pro-Obama coverage" represented a "disgusting
failure of people in our business."
Sadly funny examples galore
make up the evidence. The most famous was MSNBC's Chris Matthews
saying on Feb. 12 that when Obama spoke, "I felt this thrill going up my
leg." But during 2008 other journalists fell in love:
New
York Times reporter Michael Powell in January: "He has that
close-cropped hair and the high-school-smooth face with that deep
saxophone of a voice. His . . . words mine a vein of American
history that leaves more than a few listeners misty-eyed."

While channel surfing the Sunday Morning
political talk shows
I stumbled upon "Meet the Press."
Upon seeing Russert's guests, it occurred to me that this discussion
show should really be called, "Meet the Democrats" -- check out the
lineup of THIS "fair and balanced" panel:
Pictured, are David Brody, Maureen Dowd, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Gwen
Ifill, Ruth Marcus & Jon Meacham. Along with Russert, every one of
these seven are Democratic Party operatives and committed Progressives
(the politically correct term for socialists).
The entire discussion consisted of pumping up Obama, making excuses for
his gaffes, damning the blogsphere for exposing Obama's leftists and
racist past and associates -- oh, and finding no redeeming qualities
with the presumptive Republican nominee, John McCain.
Former Sen.
George McGovern, the 1972 Democratic presidential candidate and an
early backer of Hillary Rodham Clinton, joined a noisy rally for Barack
Obama on Friday night, describing the Illinois senator as a "ripple of
hope" who can win the White House.
McGovern has shifted his allegiance to Obama and suggested it's time for
Clinton to pull the plug. He offered an explanation to a cheering crowd
of 6,500.
"Last October, I endorsed Senator Hillary Clinton," said McGovern.
"She and her remarkable husband, President Clinton, way back 36 years
ago worked their hearts out for me in that 1972 presidential campaign.
While I endorsed Senator Obama, the Clintons have remained my treasured
friends."
"So he's returning the favor by throwing them
under
the bus -- ahhh, the loyalty of liberals!
Outspoken, propaganda film-maker Michael Mooreendorsed Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama, decrying the
"downright disgusting" campaign tactics of Hillary Clinton.
The Oscar-winning writer and director has accused the New York
senator of "stoking the fears of white America" against the mixed-race
Obama.
He cited Clinton's mention of radical US Islamic leader Louis Farrakhan
during a televised debate last week, in connection with Obama's
controversial former pastor Jeremiah Wright.
That, according to Moore, was an attempt to "smear the black man"
so as to sway Democratic grandees known as superdelegates who
look set to decide the presidential nomination.
Moore said he was endorsing the
movement for change represented by the "exceptional" Obama, in order to
end the war in Iraq and to hold corporate America to account.
"We know there are still many Americans who will never vote for a black
man. Hillary knows it, too. She's counting on it."
On February 1st, 2008, Obama received the
endorsement of the George Soros-funded socialists at
MoveOn.org.
This is the group responsible for the despicable
General Betray Us ads.
MoveOn.org executive director Eli Pariser said the country needs a
president to end the war (not win the war), provide universal health
care, address climate change, restore America's standing in the world
and "change business as usual in Washington."
Soros' 34-year-old son Jonathan Soros, an attorney and financier,
recently promoted to deputy manager of Soros Fund Management LLC., is
personally involved with MoveOn.org's activities.
MSNBC has been criticized as being in the tank for
Barack Obama. And so today, when the Obama campaign launched its
own rumor-squelching website, MSNBC was all-too-eager to promote the
site through several news bits.
But there was just one problem. For a time this afternoon, MSNBC
mistakenly promoted the prank site above (UPDATE: site has since been
pulled and its URL removed), as opposed to the actual Obama site.
Proving the point, In September, 2008, Keith Olbermann and Chris "the
Tingler" Matthews have been fired from political coverage.
With much of the nation sampling TV
coverage of the Democratic Convention, things are getting a bit
dicey for NBC News. For months that organization has tilted
heavily toward promoting Barack Obama for president, thereby violating
traditional journalistic tenets.
According to a recent study by the Media Research Center, "NBC Nightly
News" has the most lopsided pro-Obama coverage among national TV news
operations. The MRC found that pro-Obama reports outnumber
anti-Obama reports by 10 to one on "NBC Nightly News" -- an amazing
statistic.

Muslim Americans for Obama'08.
“Muslim Americans for Obama ’08,” proposes installing Muslim prayer
areas in public places and giving Muslims time off for prayer and has
denounced Obama’s colleagues in the U.S. Senate who happen to be Jewish.
On the blog, which is
attached to
BarackObama.com, viewers can read about “the Senate pro-Israeli zionist
hawk Joe Lieberman,”
Further troubling are the following “Issues & Solutions” on the site:
-- Institute a Law to allow Muslim Employees to take an hour off from
work for Friday Jummah Prayer.
-- Make the 2 Eid’s recognized National Holidays on Calendars with days
off from work.
-- Provide prayer areas suitable for Salah and Jummah, in public and
private facilities. (i.e. Malls, Airports, Universities and government
buildings.)
On the right side of the website’s homepage is a link to Aswat Al-Islam,
a radical Islamic multimedia outlet. Muslim Americans for Obama
’08 lists it as "Quran (Audio) English Translation."
There is a link,
under "Resources" on the first page that directs the reader to a
Wikipedia definition of "Who is a Muslim." Some extracts are:
"The Qur'an describes as
Muslims many Biblical prophets and messengers: Adam, Noah (Arabic: Nuh),
Moses (Arabic: Musa) and Jesus (Arabic: Isa) and his apostles."
In Surah 3:52 of the Qur'an, Jesus’ disciples tell Jesus:
"do thou bear witness that we are Muslims".
The
Muslim American Society (MAS) is an organization with strong ties to the
Muslim Brotherhood.
On its website's "Personality Page," the MAS displays a photo and short
bio of Barack Hussein Obama along with other prominent Muslims, such as
Malcolm X, Saladin and Moqtada al-Sadr.
A 2004 Chicago Tribune
investigation revealed that, after a contentious debate, U.S.
leaders of the fundamentalist
Muslim Brotherhood
decided in 1993 to begin calling themselves the Muslim American Society.
The Muslim Brotherhood is an international Islamist group that largely
operates underground. The Brotherhood's goal is to spread the rule
of Islamic law throughout the world. Key Muslim Brotherhood
ideologues, including founder Hassan al-Banna, have endorsed violence as
a means of doing so.
Today, MAS' leaders admit that the group was founded by the Muslim
Brotherhood, but claim that MAS has evolved since then.
MAS' magazine, The American Muslim provides a snapshot of where MAS
really stands on terrorism. The March 2002 issue includes a fatwa
endorsing suicide bombings against Israelis, which states that "martyr
operations are not suicide and should not be deemed as unjustifiable
means of endangering one's life." The fatwa goes on to say that in
suicide bombings, "the Muslim sacrifices his own life for the sake of
performing a religious duty, which is jihad against the enemy."
It's no surprise that NARAL would endorse a man who
voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act four times while a
state senator in Illinois.
"Sen. Obama gets it," said Dennis Van Roekel, president of
National Education Association. "He knows that reform cannot take
place overnight or by using quick fixes. Obama wants to invest in
comprehensive strategies, both immediate and long-term, which will pay
dividends for our children, our economy and our country."
Obama has the
endorsement of the New Black Panther Party -- and it's on the Obama

"Barack Obama represents 'Positive Change' for
all of America. Obama will stir the 'Melting Pot' into a better "Molten
America.'"
Obama
actively sought and received the stamp of approval of a Marxist
third party that operated briefly in Chicago between 1992 and 1998.
The group was called the New Party and was started in 1992 by
Daniel Cantor (a former staffer for Jesse Jackson’s 1988 presidential
campaign) and Joel Rogers (a sociology and law professor at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison).
The New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to
endorse and elect leftist public officials -- most often Democrats.
The New Party’s short-term objective was to move the Democratic Party
leftward, thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist
third party.
Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America
and the militant organization ACORN. The party’s Chicago chapter
also included a large contingent from the Committees of Correspondence,
a Marxist coalition of former Maoists, Trotskyists, and Communist Party
USA members.
New York Feminists for Peace and Barack Obama is an organization of more
than 100 New York feminist leaders. It released a joint statement Sunday
afternoon criticizing Hillary Clinton and supporting Obama for
president.
Clinton's support for the war in Iraq was the leading reason she lost
the support of the group.
Those endorsing Obama include longtime peace activist Cora Weiss; Katha
Pollitt, columnist for The Nation; Pulitzer-prize winning New York Times
writer Margo Jefferson; award-winning women's rights historians Alice
Kessler Harris and Linda Gordon; Barbara Weinstein, president of the
American Historical Association, and Ellen P. Chapnick, Dean for Social
Justice Initiatives at Columbia Law School. Susan Sarandon and
Francis Fox Piven signed on Monday.
In other words -- the hard-core lefties.
The Obama Supporters for Marijuana Law Reform supports Obama, and
right up there on the
Obama '08 website.
The Group Profile claims:
"The War on Drugs is another "Dumb" war!
It is also a forgotten war. The National Organization for the
Reform of Marijuana Laws and the American Civil Liberties Union agree
that Marijuana should be legalized. So do we. We do not
endorse illegal drug use, but we do denounce a hopeless war against our
own citizens, which is only profiting the large Alcohol interests."
Welcome to Obama Youth, a
website for young supporters of Barack Obama. The purpose of this
site is to provide both individuals and groups a central place to share
ideas, locate resources, organize events and communicate about
supporting the candidacy of Senator Obama. While many of us may not yet
be old enough to vote, we still have the ability to make a difference,
spread the word, and shape Obama's platform.
Now, check out the symbol for "Obama Youth." It is the Islamic
crescent.
And be sure to watch the short video that calls for the end of the
"useless war."

1. Obammunist: Devout followers of Senator Barack Hussein Obama,
2008 US Presidential candidate, usually characterized by screams, tears
of joy and a desire for "change." Usually found at Obama rallies,
Starbucks and college campuses.
2. Obammunist: A bizarre cult of the personality arising in the
3rd Millennium in the United States in which millions of people
discarded all forms of rational thought and became mesmerized by the
liquid delivery style of Senator Barack Obama. These people were
led, Pied Piper like, into the swamps of despair upon discovering that
Obama's far left philosophy didn't work any better than any of the other
socialist experiments of the past century.

Planned Parenthood, the zealous advocate for abortion rights, said
on July 7th, that it is throwing its

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Barack Obama for
president of the United States. He is a passionate advocate for women's
rights, and has a long and consistent record of standing up for women's
health care. As president, he will improve access to quality health care
for women, support and protect a woman's right to choose, support
comprehensive sex education to keep our young people healthy and safe,
and invest in prevention programs, including family planning services
and breast cancer screenings.
On February 14, 2008, President Daniel Ortega, the communist who led a
Soviet-backed 1979 revolution in Nicaragua,
endorsed Obama, saying Barack Obama's presidential bid is a
"revolutionary" phenomenon in the United States.
"It's not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the
U.S. ... but yes, they are laying the foundations for a revolutionary
change,"
Ortega, described Obama as a spokesman for the millions of Central
American and Mexican citizens who migrate to the U.S., and said he has
"faith in God and in the North American people, and above all in the
youth, that the moment of great change in the U.S. will come and it will
act differently, with justice and equality toward all nations."

The teachings of the Holy Quran
In another example of the Obamalytes scrubbing the web of unflattering
(to Obama) content, Project Islamic H. O. P. E., which
follows the teachings of the Holy Quran and the example of Prophet
Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has removed this home page banner
that featured Obama:
and replaced it with this bipartisan one, that
features Arnold (first example of Muslim humor I've ever seen):

support and follow the leadership of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, one of the
world’s foremost Islamic leaders.
Project HOPE has added a disclaimer, that is also new: "Pictures

events. No other persons pictured above are members of our
organization" --
That means you, Arnold.
Libya's Qadhafi, in remarks made marking the anniversary of the U.S.
air raid on Libya endorsed Obama. MEMRI provides this
transcript:
"There are elections in America now. Along came a black citizen of
Kenyan African origins, a Muslim, who had studied in an Islamic school
in Indonesia. His name is Obama. All the people in the Arab
and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man. They welcomed
him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been
involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the
American presidency."
"We still hope that this black man will take pride in his African and
Islamic identity, and in his faith, and that [he will know] that he has
rights in America, and that he will change America from evil to good,
and that America will establish relations that will serve it well with
other peoples, especially the Arabs."
If Barack Obama doesn't win November's presidential election in the
United States, "you can kiss the Democratic Party goodbye", the actor
and director Robert Redford
told an audience in Dublin last night.
Speaking at a public interview in Trinity College in advance of his
conferral with an honorary degree by the university today, Redford said
he hoped Obama would win because while John McCain "represents
yesterday," the Democrat embodied the sort of change America needed.
Asked by Michael Dwyer, film correspondent of The Irish Times, if he was
looking forward to "regime change" in the US, Redford said: "Yes.
Where my country is at the moment, I'm not confident of anything.
I'm hopeful.
"I think Obama is not tall on experience . . . but I believe he's a
really good person. He's smart. And he does represent what
the country needs most now, which is change.
"...I believe he's a really good person." --
Why does anybody listen to actors?
During his 12 years in politics, Sen. Barack
Obama
has received
nearly three times more campaign cash from convicted businessman,
Tony Rezko and his associates, than he has publicly
acknowledged, the Chicago Sun-Times has found.
Seven months ago, Obama told the Sun-Times his "best estimate" was
that Rezko raised "between $50,000 and $60,000" during Obama's political
career.
However,
Obama has collected at least $168,308 from Rezko and his circle.
Additionally, Obama
also has taken in an unknown amount of money from people who attended
fund-raising events hosted by Rezko since the mid-1990s.
A British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions of dollars to Rezko just
weeks before an imprudent land deal that has returned to haunt the
presidential contender, a recent
investigation by The Times discloses.
The money transfer raises the question of whether funds from Nadhmi
Auchi, one of Britain’s wealthiest men, helped Mr. Obama buy his mock
Georgian mansion in Chicago.
With the corruption trial of one of Sen. Barack Obama’s longtime friends
and supporters
set to begin on March 3rd, in Chicago, reform watchdogs say it will
reveal the "cesspool" of Illinois politics in which Obama came of age
and has said little about in his campaign for president.
With the corruption trial of a longtime friend and supporter of Sen.
Barack Obama set to begin next week in Chicago, the judge ruled today
that federal prosecutors will be able to show the jury photos of Tony
Rezko's
suburban mansion because they are evidence of "events that occurred"
there and of his "opulent lifestyle."
Rezko, charged in a scheme to bribe and corrupt Illinois officials, held
numerous fundraising events at his Wilmette mansion, including one for
the 2004 senate campaign of Obama that raised more than $60,000.
Everything you ever wanted to know about Obama and Rezko.

A reader just emailed this really great

Obama's long relationship with Tony Rezko, who has just been found
guilty on 16 of 24 counts,
involving mail/wire fraud, money laundering, and corrupt solicitation
charges.

In endorsing Obama, Bill Richardson said, "We’re going to need to see who is going to be the
strongest candidate against Senator McCain. And I believe that
is Senator Obama with his emphasis on change and bringing people
together, a fresh voice internationally, somebody that is able, in my
judgment .. to bring …. at least I just got back from Latin America,
from Venezuela, where he (Obama) has enormous support, where people
really want to see a change in American foreign policy and they see
Obama as that agent of change."
Yes, you read that correctly. Bill Richardson went to Venezuela to
work on gaining the release of American hostages taken by FARC, the
Colombian terrorists who have received material support from Venezuelan
wannabe dictator Hugo Chavez. When Richardson speaks about
Venezuelans who want to see a change in American foreign policy, one has
to remember that the only Venezuelans Richardson meets are Chavez and
his regime’s diplomats. Richardson certainly isn’t meeting with
Venezuelan dissidents while trying to wheedle Chavez into getting his
terrorist supporters to release the three Americans.
In other words, Richardson just delivered his and the Hugo Chavez endorsement.
Will Americans see Hugo’s blessing as a compelling reason to vote for
Obama, or to vote for John McCain? And just how vapid can
Richardson be to cheerfully deliver that bombshell on CNN?
March 2nd, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, chairman of the Senate
Intelligence Committee,
endorsed Obama on Friday and campaigned with him on Saturday.
Rockefeller, who gave up George Bush's plan to invade Iraq, to the
Baathists in Syria, called Obama "brilliant" and "well grounded" and
prepared to take the reins as commander in chief.
The LA Times spotted Phil Spector, the famous rock
entrepreneur and infamous date, showing up for a court hearing in Los
Angeles wearing a very obvious "Barack Obama Rocks" pin.
Spector, you may recall, has some continuing legal troubles having to do
with an actress, Lana Clarkson, turning up dead in his house after a
date five years ago.
Spector says she shot herself. The prosecution suggests otherwise.
A jury could not decide.
So a second second-degree murder trial is set to begin on Sept. 29,
pending a higher court ruling on the presiding judge. Meanwhile,
Spector and every one of those "hairs" on his head is behind Barack.
Rolling Stone magazine announced it is
backing Democratic Obama for president. This is the first time the music
magazine has endorsed a contender for the White House during the
primary. The endorsement was accompanied by a photo of Obama,
surrounded by a saintly glow.
"The reason for the early choice is twofold," the editors explain in the
publication's upcoming issue. "Undoing the damage of the
disastrous Bush years will take a leader who can unite a deeply divided
nation, and politicians with gifts like Obama's are so rare that it's
imperative for each of us to do our part."
The magazine has endorsed presidential candidates since 1972, beginning
with Democrat George McGovern. Other recent candidates include Democrats
Bill Clinton, Al Gore and John Kerry.
That's some list! Without the meddling of Ross Perot, Rolling
Stone's record of backing losers would be perfect.
Update: It's been 100 days and they've done it again -- Obama
reappears on the cover of the Rolling Stone -- The magazine usually does
that for the likes only of people like John Lennon. So what is the
fascination with the Illinois Senator?
Trevor Loudon has got hold of a fascinating analysis of Prez-elect
Obama’s administrative appointments by
Mark Rudd and
Jeff Jones, two former Weather
Underground terrorists (chums of Obama’s old ally/chance
acquaintance, the unrepentant former WU terrorist William Ayers).
The two of them are now on the board of
Movement for a
Democratic Society, in turn the parent body of
Progressives for
Obama, the leading leftist lobby group behind Obama’s presidential
campaign. And waddya know -- just like me, they believe Obama is
practicing stealth politics with a degree of sophistication and success
with which "even Lenin would be impressed." As they say, Obama
knows that he must be subtle and reassure even the most conservative of
his opponents if he is to achieve his radical goals. Mark Rudd
writes:
"Obama is a very strategic thinker. He knew precisely what it
would take to get elected and didn't blow it... But he also knew
that what he said had to basically play to the center to not be run over
by the press, the Republicans, scare centrist and cross-over voters
away... What he's doing now is moving on the most popular issues
-- the environment, health care, and the economy. He'll be
progressive on the environment because that has broad popular support;
health care will be extended to children, then made universal, but the
medical, pharmaceutical, and insurance corporations will stay in
place... The economic agenda will stress stimulation from the
bottom sometimes and handouts to the top at other times. It will
be pragmatic... On foreign policy and the wars and the use of the
military there will be no change at all. That's what keeping Gates
at the Pentagon and Clinton at State and not prosecuting the torturers
is saying. And never, never threaten the military budget.
That will unite a huge majority of congress against him."
"And I agree with this strategy. Anything else will court sure
defeat."
Bernie Sanders, who won his Senate seat in 2006,
called Obama "one of the great leaders of the United States Senate,"
even though Obama had only been in the body for less than two years.
Sanders is the only openly Socialist member of the U. S. Congress and a
founder of the Progressive
Caucus, a front-organization for congress-critters who belong to the
Democratic Socialists of America.
Malaak Shabazz, Malcolm X's daughter
has endorsed
Obama, and says his constituency should not be troubled by her Nation of
Islam background.
Several days after the Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan announced his
support of Barack Obama, a daughter of the late Malcolm X has announced
that she is also backing the senator's run for the White House.
Actually, him (Obama) and Michelle remind me of my parents, and what
they have to face with children, and with the climate that we're dealing
with politically. She's brilliant. My mother's brilliant. He's
brilliant. My father was brilliant. And they're still sticking to the
community. So, no, they are not Betty and Malcolm. But they are the
present day Betty and Malcolm.
The
Rev. Al Sharpton is backing Barack Obama, but he's made the
strategic decision to keep his support quiet.
That's the message Sharpton delivered to his flock last Saturday as he
boasted of talking to Obama "two or three times a week" -- and insisted
the Democratic front-runner knows the rev is in his camp.
"I said, 'I'm gonna do whatever I gotta do to help you. Hillary
Clinton has never done nothing for us,'" said Sharpton, recounting a
conversation with Obama for his followers at his group's weekly rally.
"'I won't either endorse you or not endorse you,'" Sharpton said he told
the Illinois senator as the two made their way to a Nov. 29 dinner at
Sylvia's Restaurant in Harlem. "But I will tell you I can be freer
not endorsing you to help you and everybody else."
Actor Will Smith on Obama: "First
Time" in Years it’s Good to Be an American.
You know I just, I just came back from Moscow, Berlin, London and Paris
and it's the first, I've been there quite a few times in the past five
to 10 years. And it just hasn't been a good thing to be American. And
this is the first time, since Barack has gotten the nomination, that it,
it was a good thing.
The Socialist Party USA is on board, and they're even
selling Obama gear -- how capitalistic!
Obama, is different from most Democrats because of his willingness to
embrace the controversial
George Soros. Shortly after Soros equated the
abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq to the September 11th terrorist
attacks, Obama
joined him in New York for a fund-raiser on June 7th.
Not only did Soros donate to Obama's campaign, but four other family
members -- Jennifer, sons Jonathan and Robert and wife Susan -- did as
well. Because of a special provision campaign finance laws, the
Soros family was able to give a collective $60,000 to Obama during his
primary challenge.
Today The Times' eagle-eyed Harriet Ryan spotted Phil Spector, the famous rock entrepreneur and infamous date, showing up for
a court hearing in Los Angeles
wearing a very obvious "Barack Obama
Rocks" pin.
Spector, you may recall, has some continuing legal troubles having to do
with an actress, Lana Clarkson, turning up dead in his house after a
date five years ago.
Spector says she shot herself. The prosecution suggests otherwise. A
jury could not decide.
So a second second-degree murder trial is set to begin on Sept. 29,
pending a higher court ruling on the presiding judge. Meanwhile, Spector
and every one of those "hairs" on his head is behind Barack.
A spokeswoman for Barbra Streisand
confirmed Wednesday that the singer was supporting Sen. Barack Obama
and had offered to help him in his presidential campaign. Marge
Tabankin said talks were underway to decide what role Streisand would
play.
Obama's Hollywood supporters are hopeful that she will sing for the
senator -- as she did for Bill Clinton during his presidential races --
at one of the many fundraisers in the works for this summer.
In addition to lending her legendary pipes, Streisand's support is
important to Obama for several reasons: She's a woman, she's a longtime
friend of the Clintons and she's Jewish. She could rally support
among a number of constituencies Obama will need to win in the fall.
Obama won the endorsement of the
Teamsters earlier this year after privately telling the union he
supported ending the strict federal oversight imposed to root out
corruption, according to officials from the union and the Obama
campaign.
It's an unusual stance for a presidential candidate. Policy makers
have largely treated monitoring of the International Brotherhood of
Teamsters as a legal matter left to the Justice Department since an
independent review board was set up in 1992 to eliminate mob influence
in the union.
John Coli, vice president for the Teamsters central region, who
brokered the Teamsters endorsement, said Sen. Obama was "pretty
definitive that the time had come to start the beginning of the end" of
the three-member independent review board that investigates suspect
activity in the union. Mr. Coli said that Sen. Obama conveyed that
view in a series of phone conversations and meetings with Teamsters
officials last year.
Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor confirmed the candidate's position in a
statement to The Wall Street Journal, saying that Sen. Obama believes
that the board "has run its course," because "organized crime influence
in the union has drastically declined." Mr. Vietor said Sen. Obama
took that position last year.
Time magazine placed the Obamessiah on its cover for the 7th time in
less than a year. No bias here -- move on -- nothing to see here.
Washington Post ombudsman Deborah Howell
reviewed how many stories the newspaper put on the front page about
John McCain and Barack Obama over the past ten weeks and discovered a
wide gap in favor of Obama, a "disparity," she declared, "so wide that
it doesn't look good." Howell, the Washington Bureau chief and
editor of Newhouse News from 1990 until 2005, outlined in her weekly
Sunday column what she determined:
Democrat Barack Obama has had about a 3 to 1 advantage over Republican
John McCain in Post Page 1 stories since Obama became his party's
presumptive nominee June 4. Obama has generated a lot of news by
being the first African American nominee, and he is less well known than
McCain -- and therefore there's more to report on. But the
disparity is so wide that it doesn't look good.
Four Weathermen terrorists declare support for Obama,
calling for "grassroots effort" to help boost campaign.
The names of four former top leaders of the
Weathermen
terrorist organization are listed as signatories on an online petition
calling for an "independent grassroots effort" to help strengthen
Obama's campaign.
The
petition was initiated by
Progressives for
Obama, an independent organization acting to ensure the Illinois
senator's election.
Among the names signed onto the petition are former Weathermen leaders
Howard Machtinger, Jeff Jones, Steve Tappis and Mark Rudd.
Rolling Stone publisher
admits he's an Obama Campaign donor.
Can a publisher, editor, and owner of magazines be any more biased than
proudly admitting on national television that he's contributed to Barack
Obama's campaign?
While you ponder, consider that on Sunday, the publisher and editor of
Rolling Stone -- who just so happens to also own Men's Journal and Us
Weekly -- told CNN's Howard Kurtz that he's given money to the
presumptive Democrat presidential nominee.
In fact, Jann Wenner did so without batting an eye in an interview aired
on "Reliable Sources."
At the Apollo Theater fundraiser, Obama was introduced by the radical Marxist professor,
racist and self-styled rapper, Cornell West, as "my comrade."
-- the video.
What does this tell you about Obama, when he chooses to
be introduced by one of the most radical Marxists in America as, "my
comrade?"

On Saturday, September 8th, it was Barack Obama's turn to enjoy
billionaire chat diva Oprah Winfrey's favor, as a stunning cross section
of the country's entertainment and sports elite
gathered in "the meadow" of her sprawling Montecito estate to raise
money for the junior Illinois senator seeking the Democrats'
presidential nomination.
The overwhelmingly African American crowd included distinguished senior
figures, including basketball superstar Bill Russell and Academy
Award-winning actor Sydney Poitier, and younger stars, including Holly
Robinson Peete and cutting-edge comedian Chris Rock. Motown's Stevie
Wonder provided the entertainment, singing his hits from the '70s and
'80s.
By the time Obama arrived from an overnight stay in San Francisco, the
crowd, that included Cindy Crawford and husband Randy Gerber, Kenneth "Babyface"
Edmonds, Hill Harper, Tom Joyner, Tyler Perry, Ellen Pompeo, Cicely
Tyson, Forest Whitaker, and Winfrey's beau, Stedman Graham had grown to
about 5,000 under one of those perfect, blue Santa Barbara skies. The
temperature was impeccable, and the ocean glinted as the kind of
backdrop money can't buy -- unless, of course, you can afford beachfront
property in Santa Barbara.
Obama surveyed the scene and quipped: "I can tell you, city colleges in
Chicago don't look like this. I wouldn't get any work done here."
Then, eyeing the crowd: "I didn't know there were any hippies left." That got a big laugh, as did the senator's rejoinder: "That's cool."
From there, Obama moved into his standard 45-minute stump speech,
ranging from denunciations of the war in Iraq to demands for an increase
in the minimum wage.
Update: Oprah will not invite VP candidte Sarah Palin to her "womens"
show. Oprah lied, when she
said, "At the
beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going
to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the
decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the
candidates."

Olympia, Washington, Democrat precinct representatives have now
elected as a
delegate for Barack Obama former Camp Delta Muslim chaplain James
Yee.
The West Point graduate was accused in 2003 of being part of a spy ring
at the U.S. prison for suspected terrorists in Guantanamo Bay.
After spending 76 days in solitary confinement, charges were dropped,
because there were "national security concerns that would arise from the
release of the evidence," if the case proceeded.
Recently, James Yee appeared on Syrian television to describe the
horrors of Guantanamo Bay, even though he never actually witnessed any
horrors.
