"The government is promoting bad behavior... do we really want to
subsidize the losers' mortgages... This is America! How many
of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage? Obama are
you listening? How about we all stop paying our mortgage!
It's a moral hazard..."

Bail Out Losers Punish Achievers
There are two groups of homeowners that are being looked at by
Obama's stimulus plan. The first group is made up of people who
cannot afford their mortgages and have fallen behind on their monthly
payments. The price of this is $75 billion. Many of the
people here in group one took out loans they were never, ever going to
be able to afford.
How in the name of Sam Hill do you take out a
loan that you were never going to be able to afford? It seems that
somebody had to tell the lender to do that, and we know that's exactly
what happened. The Community Redevelopment Act started with
Carter, beefed up with Clinton, it was one of the specialties of Barney
Frank and Chris Dodd, it's called affordable housing. Fannie Mae
and Freddie Mac bought up all this worthless paper, started inventing
all kinds of things, derivatives and you name it to try to give value to
this worthless paper, and that got us largely in the place that we're in
now. Many people took out loans they were never going to be able
to afford, never! That means somebody knew from day one they were
never going to be able to pay back the loans. Some of these people
have since lost their jobs. They are still in the homes.
About three million households fall into category number one, and
without help, they will lose their homes. So the first group is
made up of three million people who can't afford the mortgages, who took
out loans they were never going to be able to afford.
The second
group is far larger. It is made up of more than ten million
households that can afford their monthly payments, but whose houses are
worth less than what is owed on their mortgages. In real estate
parlance, they're underwater. If they want to stay in their homes,
they'll have no trouble doing so, but some may choose to walk out
voluntarily rather than continue to make payments on an investment that
may never pay off. Obama has apparently decided to focus on the
first group, based on the previews of his speech that his aides have put
out there. So let me sum this up for you: $75 billion in the Rezko
Rescue plan. It is gonna go to group one, people who couldn't
afford the house and mortgages they entered into in the first place.
Group two is going to get hardly anything, maybe nothing. They are
made up of over ten million people. They are making payments on
their homes, but they're underwater because of the plunge in housing
prices caused by the first group. The larger group is making their
payments but the value of their home's plummeted, going to get nothing.
The plunge in their housing prices, the value of their home caused by
group one.
The responsible people in the second group are going
to get the equivalent of diddly-squat. What Obama is going to do
is bail out the first group, which has contributed directly to the
misfortune of the second group.
And, don't forget Obama's role
in the mortgage meltdown.
More Than 500 Protest Obama
Protesters made their voices heard in chants and signs Wednesday
outside Dobson High School.
They held their signs up high: "Don't
tread on me," "Spend all you want, I'll pick up the tab," "I'll keep my
freedom! You keep the change!" "Free fertility drugs now."
And "B.O. smells and so does Socialism."
A Gilbert woman, with a
sign that said, "Fund bikini wax now," said she is entitled to the
beauty treatment. "It's a self-esteem issue and hygiene issue,
which makes it a health care issue. I think we're all entitled,"
said the woman in jest. She only gave the name JoAnne, because she
is skipping work.
As protesters held their signs high, they
exchanged cheers with the honking cars that passed.
The general
message of the protesters was that Obama's policies would lead the
country toward socialism.
"I'm out here to exercise my First
Amendment rights while I still have them," said Tim Guiney, 52, a
Phoenix sales manager. "Everything that man stands for is the
antithesis of what this country was founded on. He's a Marxist,
fascist."
Lee Bauer, 53, a social and fiscal conservative, said
she doesn't believe in the $787 billion stimulus package signed by Obama
Tuesday in Denver.
Obama's policy of direct diplomacy with Iran may buy Tehran
enough time to produce nuclear weapons, Shabtai Shavit, former chief of
the Mossad intelligence agency,
warned in an exclusive WND interview today.
"I don't believe
there is a political solution which can be achieved through negotiations
with Iran," he said.
"My concern is that until Obama finishes
his learning curve of the subject, the Iranians are going to have maybe
the first or even more nuclear bombs."
Shavit served as director
of the Mossad from 1989 through 1996. He clarified that although
diplomacy cannot be ruled out, from his experience he doesn't believe
there can be a political solution with Iran.
He said there is a
military option but that at this point in time, an Israeli or U.S.
strike against Tehran's nuclear facilities would not completely halt the
country's suspected illicit program.
"According to the best of
my assessment, I'm afraid [using a strike to] completely disrupt the
whole Iranian (nuclear) project and the whole system is not possible.
But there still could be a military option. It depends what are
the aims you define for [any such attack]."
Openness?
In his first weeks in office, Obama shut down his predecessor’s
system for reviewing regulations, realigned and expanded two key White
House policymaking bodies and extended economic sanctions against
parties to the conflict in the African nation of Cote D’Ivoire.
Despite the intense scrutiny a president gets just after the
inauguration, Obama managed to take all these actions with nary a
mention from the White House press corps.
The moves escaped
notice because they were never announced by the White House Press Office
and were never placed on the White House web site.
A
Politico review of Federal Register issuances since Obama took
office found three executive orders, one presidential memorandum, one
presidential notice, and one proclamation that went unannounced by the
White House.
Such notices were routinely released by the White
House press office during prior administrations -- making their omission
all the more unusual given Obama’s oft-repeated pledges of openness.
Most of the documents were posted to the White House web site
Tuesday night, after Politico inquired about their absence. "It
was a simple oversight," a spokesman, Ben LaBolt, said.
Socialist Marxist Cogs
Already we are
seeing
the Socialist, Marxist cogs in the change wheel manipulating away our
freedoms and money. Obama and Congress have wasted no time from
the executive orders to the manipulative speeches and attachments on the
"stimulus bill" that insult and betray the American people.
Don’t you love the endless speeches and statements by Obama, Nancy
Pelosi, and Harry Reid, regarding the URGENT need to pass the stimulus
bill or our country will go down in heaping flames? Naturally, we
all understand the EXTREME emergency choices added to the bill such as
$650 million for digital TV coupons; $99,600 for doorbells in Laurel,
MS; $3,450,000 to "rehabilitate" sidewalks in Alexandria, VA; $500,000
for a dog park in Chula Vista, CA; $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles
for federal employees; and how could we forget Nancy Pelosi’s favorite:
$30 million to restore wetlands in the San Francisco Bay region to save
the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse. There is too much
ridiculous fat and nonsense that has been thrown into this rape bill to
even mention here. If you want a longer list of the absurd, read Frank
Salvato’s Feb 13th article at
TheNewMediaJournal.us.
What is the change agenda of this
administration and democrats in congress? It is becoming vividly
clear already the goal is socialism and Marxism. Freedoms have to
boldly go while control has to dramatically grow in all areas for this
to happen. Surely no one will notice. After all, half the
country wanted change! The other half can be seduced and
distracted into silence…….or can we?
Karl Marx said it first:
Marx stated that Socialism is not a form of government but is a state, a
policed and engineered state in which a nation takes on while in
"transition" from a Capitalist to a Communist society while the
"Communist Utopia" is the ultimate desired outcome of the full
transition; a world with no police, no property, no religion, no
classes, even no need for government, no war…a fantasy land of
everlasting harmony.
Health And Human Services
White House officials say President Barack Obama will
name pro-abortion Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, who
has been criticized for refusing to limit late-term abortions, as the
Secretary of the Health and Human Services Department.
Once
official, her selection would add to Obama's growing pro-abortion record
as president.
Obama advisors notified the media late Wednesday
that the president has settled on Sebelius as his top choice for the
position.
As the health secretary, Sebelius could have an impact
in crafting a health care plan that could cover abortions with taxpayer
funds or require insurance companies to cover abortions in their plans.
Sebelius is most notorious for her close relationship with late-term
abortion practitioner George Tiller, who has escaped prosecution and
accountability thus far for allegedly repeatedly violating state
abortion laws.
He's done so in part because of the lax standards
of Sebelius and her political allies, to whom Tiller has donated
hundreds of thousands of dollars. Governor Sebelius vetoed a bill
last April that the legislature approved that would have strengthened
the state's limits on late-term abortions.
That followed by a
year her veto of a bill requiring explicit medical reasons for a late
abortion, which was preceded by vetoing other pro-life legislation in
2006, 2005 and 2003.
Sebelius went as far as to coordinate a
secret event with Tiller at the governor's mansion that was criticized
because her staff failed to officially report the event.
Her
position favoring abortion is so radical and extreme that Archbishop
Joseph Naumann of Kansas City called on her to stop receiving communion
until she disowns her support for the "serious moral evil" of abortion.
Enemies List
In precedent-setting action, Obama moved his director of
political affairs, a highly partisan post, from the Old Executive Office
Building into the West Wing. Political operative
Patrick Gaspard was given White House access not experienced by his
predecessors. Obama official
Shauna Daly, a non-lawyer and career opposition researcher described
as a "partisan dirt-digger," was assigned to the White House counsel
office. The move signals not only a new low in partisan
activities, but suggests the office assignment may be intended to hide
Daly's political activities under the guise of the counsel's
attorney-client privileges.
What America witnessed
before the election and mere hours after Obama was sworn into office
is just a sampling of what Americans can likely expect throughout an
Obama presidency. One cannot help but reach the conclusion an
Obama Enemies List is already being compiled and free speech
restrictions are being considered.
The heavy-handed actions
against Obama critics and opponents that occurred before he had
government institutions firmly under his control should have had public
interest watchdog groups up in arms. Because so many of such
groups are ideologically aligned with Obama may explain why there was
not even a peep. Conservative and balanced news outlets have the
disturbing habit of holding accountable liberal public interest
organizations that engage in dishonest or deceptive practices that the
major news organizations just so happen to overlook.
How soon
and how far the Obama Administration will extend its attacks against its
critics and the political opposition may become evident in the days
ahead. Spared any serious scrutiny by most news outlets during his
very brief career in public office, Barack Obama has displayed an
exceptionally thin skin when he has come under a microscope or when he
has suffered political and public relations setbacks.
