Obama's Severe Consequences For North Korea	Yid with Lid reminds us that prior to yesterday's launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, Obama threatened severe consequences if the rogue country went ahead with their launch plans. So far those severe consequences have been non-existent, but Obama promised consequences. Would this be another promise that Obama breaks? I had to find out. So I figured this may be another job for my Cousin Ben the spy (his mother wanted him to go to med school, but that is a story for a different day). I asked Ben to sneak into the White House and find out what "consequences the president had in mind. To get unrestricted access to the White House, Ben disguised himself as canvasser for ACORN, and it was there he was able to meet and question the president's number one adviser (TOTUS). I just just got off the phone with Cousin Ben the spy and he came back with the information (he also came back with a pair of Michelle Obama's underwear-- but I promise to talk to him about that). Below is the list of severe consequences for North Korea, which Cousin Ben brought back from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. • A nasty letter from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To make the punishment even more severe the letter will be placed in their permanent record. • The entire country of North Korea will be forced to go to bed without dinner. Wait most of them already do. • Fire Kim Jong-il. The president gets that power from the same place in the Constitution that allows him to fire the head of GM. • No Nintendo for a week. • Force North Korea to take Tarp funds that it doesn't need, and don't allow them to return it. That way he can control them anyway he wants, just like the banks. • Send Nancy Pelosi to visit North Korea for a month. If that doesn't scare them straight, nothing will. • Take away their Congressional Earmarks. Apparently John Murtha thinks that North Korea is part of his district. Ben's contact, Mr. TOTUS did not say whether these "consequences" will be imposed all at once or whether it will be some sort of "ramp up." Either way it's nice to see the Obama is finally showing a back bone in dealing with rogue countries. Iran must be quaking in its boots (with laughter).
The Worlds Greatest Orator	Obama, the World's Greatest Orator™, didn't exactly cover himself in glory when the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson asked him a question about who was to blame for the financial crisis. Normally word perfect, Obama ummed, ahed and waffled for the best part of two and a half minutes. Here, John Crace decodes what he was really thinking... 12,000,000 New Democrats	The acting director of the U.S. Census Bureau, Thomas Mesenbourg, told CNSNews.com that the bureau intends to work with community organizations to make sure every illegal alien in the United States is counted in the 2010 Census. The Census is used to apportion the seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. There are 435 House seats that are divided among the states in proportion to their population, which is determined by the decennial census. States with more people get more seats in the U.S. House. This means that a state harboring more illegal aliens can gain more House seats as long as the Census Bureau finds the illegal aliens and counts them. This also means that the illegal alien population resident in the United States during a census year has the potential to alter the regional and philosophical balance of power in Congress. When asked whether he intended to maximize the count of illegal aliens in next year’s census, Mesenburg said: "Our job is to count everyone that resides in the U.S. -- count them once. So, certainly that’s our goal to count every individual, every resident whether they’re documented, undocumented, whether they are citizens or non-citizens." He said local community organizations will play a key role in making sure all illegal immigrants are counted. "The local communities are going to have a strong partnership program in each of the local communities, and we’re going to focus on the hard to count geographic areas. That typically has been areas with high numbers of undocumented workers but it’s much more diverse than that," he said. "So, what we’ll do is we’ll have Census Bureau folks out in those neighborhoods recruiting community organizations, faith-based organizations, and local media to get that message out that it’s safe, it’s easy, and it’s important to file your 2010 Census form," said Mesenbourg. Ruben Keoseyan, publisher of the newspaper La Raza, said the organizations at the press conference have partnered with the Census Bureau to help undocumented immigrants "come out and register" for the census. "This is not just a partnership among the people that you see here," said Keoseyan. "This is also a partnership with the Census Bureau because we believe that we can aid in helping those people come out and register and participate in the census. It’s a much easier form. It’s going to be in Spanish." Now you know why Obama moved the Census to the White House and why Rahm Emanuel is in charge. It's all part of the Progressive's coup d'état and consolidation of power. Paris And Berlin bristle At Obama	Obama urged the European Union on Sunday to accept Turkey as a full member of the 27-nation bloc, in remarks rejected outright by France and met coolly by Germany. The disagreement was a rare outward sign of divergence at an EU-U.S. summit stage-managed to relaunch trans-atlantic ties that were strained under the Bush administration and which both sides are now eager to mend. "The United States and Europe must approach Muslims as our friends, neighbours and partners in fighting injustice, intolerance and violence, forging a relationship based on mutual respect and mutual interests," Obama told the summit. "Moving forward towards Turkish membership in the EU would be an important signal of your (EU) commitment to this agenda and ensure that we continue to anchor Turkey firmly in Europe," he told EU leaders. Sarkozy said it was up to the EU member states to decide on Turkish entry and reiterated his opposition. "I have always been opposed to this entry," he told France's TF1 television. "I still am and I think I can say that the immense majority of member states shares the position of France," he said. "Turkey is a very great country, an ally of Europe, an ally of the United States. It will stay a privileged partner. My position hasn't changed and it won't change," he said. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said it was clearly in the interest of all to forge ties between the EU and the Muslim world, but asked to comment directly on Obama's remarks, she noted only: "It's clear there are different opinions."
No Decline In Belief That Obama Is A Muslim	More than two months into Barack Obama's presidency, as many people identify him as a Muslim as did so during the 2008 campaign. When asked about Obama's religious beliefs, 11% say he is a Muslim. In October, 12% said Obama is a Muslim, which was unchanged from earlier in the campaign. In the current survey, 35% say they do not know Obama's religion, either because they do not know enough about him (22%), or because they have heard different things about his religion (13%); another 6% refused to answer. As was the case last fall, white evangelical Protestants (19%) and Republicans (17%) are among the most likely to view Obama as a Muslim. Fewer than half in each group -- 38% of white evangelicals and 46% of Republicans -- identify Obama as a Christian. While relatively few Democrats (7%) say Obama is a Muslim, just 55% identify his religious beliefs as Christian, down slightly from 61% last fall. Among independents, 10% say Obama is a Muslim (compared with 12% in October), while 45% say he is a Christian (50% in October). The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted March 9-12 among 1,308 adults reached on landlines and cell phones, finds continuing educational differences in views of Obama's religious beliefs: 68% of college graduates identify Obama as a Christian, while 6% say he is a Muslim. By contrast, just a third (33%) of those with no more than a high school education say Obama is a Christian, while 14% see him as a Muslim. Pew's polling numbers might change, once the American public sees these images. Of course, they never will if the national media has their way. Three days ago, I asked visitors to The Obama File to submit the names of those news sources that published Obama's humiliating display of dhimmitude. I'm still waiting for the first report.
Stores Running Out of Guns and Bullets	A gun ban seems to be on the minds of many these days. Many viewers have started to notice a shortage of guns and ammunition, and stores all over Kalamazoo say concealed weapons are flying off the shelves. Most blame the change in politics in Washington, D.C. The FBI performed more than a million background checks in the three months after the election than it did the previous year. Stores in Kalamazoo say they're trying to keep up. "With the elections a lot of people are coming in to buy ammo thinking it's going to disappear and that they're not going to have them anymore," said Gander Mountain employee, Matt Wing. In fact some who sell guns say they haven't seen a run on guns and ammo since in 40 years. Owners telling us it's awfully difficult to tell customers they have to wait days, perhaps weeks to get a bullet.
Notre Dame Students Protest Obama's Visit	The controversy continues over Notre Dame's decision to invite President Obama to speak at its 2009 commencement. On Sunday afternoon, the University's student-formed coalition "ND Response" held a rally on the steps of the Golden Dome. The main speaker at Sunday's rally was nationally recognized pro-life attorney Harold Cassidy. The students say they are protesting the University's decision to invite President Obama because of his views on abortion. They are also asking the administration to rescind the offer to give the President an honorary law degree. Students also had a chance to sign letters that they are asking Notre Dame President Fr. Jenkins to give to President Obama. Following the rally, the students held a procession to the grotto for prayer.
