WND Drops The Eligibility Ball |
Leo Donofrio
believes that World Net Daily White House Correspondent Les Kinsolving
recently had the chance to ask Obama’s Press Secretary Gibbs a question
about the eligibility issue and he fumbled at the golden goal.
Whether they know it or not, WND is causing massive distraction by
feeding the birth certificate smokescreen more and more fire while
consistently failing to concentrate national focus on the core legal
issue -- Obama admits to being a British citizen at birth and therefore
could not have been a "natural born citizen" of the United States as is
required by the Constitution.
Phil at Right Side of Life has the
most in depth coverage and actual video footage of the WND-White House
Experience.
Fox News and the London Times also covered the
eligibility issue and Phil has all of that at the link above.
I
am very concerned that the amount of serious media attention the birth
certificate issue is currently generating is NOT due to some mass
awakening of citizens but rather a calculated device put in place by the
powers that be as a set up for crushing the eligibility movement once
and for all.
One of these days the Obama administration might
serve up for your culinary consumption the most perfect long form birth
certificate you could ever imagine. Hawaii officials will vouch for its
authenticity under oath if need be. And numerous forensic experts will
substantiate its veracity.
Then the POTUS eligibility movement is
going to look like a vast nutjob right wing conspiracy.
And the
ineligible one will be so much stronger and more powerful for it.
The BC thing is a side dish, not the main course. Any discussion of
the BC issue should be subordinate to the dual nationality issue.

The Adolescent Angst Of Obama |
Michael Barone
says there is a tendency for newly installed presidents, like
adolescents suddenly liberated from adult supervision, to do the exact
opposite of what their predecessors did. Presidents of both parties
indulge in this behavior, though Democrats who campaign as candidates of
hope and change are more likely to do so.
Some of this is a
legitimate response to the political process: Voters tend to elect
presidents who seem to possess qualities and views they thought lacking
in their predecessors. But some of it, and especially in the case of
Barack Obama, seems to come from an adolescent-like confidence that
everything done by those who came before is (insert your own
generation’s expletive here).
We have seen this spectacularly in
the dozen days since the June 12 Iranian election. Back in July 2007,
Obama said that he would meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad
and other tyrants without preconditions. Grown-up squares like George W.
Bush wouldn’t talk to these guys, so as the avatar of the generation of
hope and change, Obama would. Obama figured he was cool enough to get
the mullahs to agree to renounce nuclear weapons and all that hate
stuff.
Obama has held to this ever since.

Obama’s Claim Of 46 Million Uninsured Americans |
An Arizona orthopedic surgeon testified in Congress on Tuesday that Obama's claim that 46 million Americans don’t have health
insurance is not accurate because it does not reflect exactly who those
people are and why they are "uninsured."
Dr. Eric Novack
testified before the House Energy and Commerce’s Subcommittee on Health
about the Obama administration’s proposed health care legislation. Afterward, he
told CNSNews.com that the Obama administration's claim
that there are 46 million uninsured people in America includes people
with different health care scenarios and that combining them together in
one number is misleading.
"If we start breaking down those
numbers a bit -- and again these will be round numbers -- but about 9 to 10
million of those people are in the country illegally," Novack said.
Another 15 million are what he called "chronically uninsured,"
because of pre-existing health problems or other mitigating factors
"We have young people between 18 and 30, probably about another 10
million or so, they’d rather buy applications for their iPhone than buy
health insurance," Novack said.
He said some of the approximately
46 million Americans referred to by Obama and members of the
subcommittee include others who may be eligible for existing government
health care programs, such as S-Chip and Medicaid, but don’t sign up.
Novack said Congress should consider the numbers he claimed will be
more useful when crafting health care legislation.
"The solution
that we should be seeking out is not to change the health care of the
other 97 percent of Americans," Novack said. "Let’s seek solutions the
best we can to make things better, make health care more accessible, and
more affordable for the (other) three percent."

He Thinks You're Stupid |
Powerline blog's John
Hinderaker reports that in his press conference today, Obama
talked about the cap-and-trade energy tax that the Democrats are trying
to ram through Congress. Obama's nose grew a couple of inches as he
uttered this howler:
"At a time of great fiscal challenges, this
legislation is paid for by the polluters who currently emit the
dangerous carbon emissions that contaminate the water we drink and
pollute the air we breathe."
The idea that the energy tax will
come to rest with "polluters" -- that is to say, power companies,
manufacturers, agribusinesses, and so on -- is absurd. The cost will be
passed on to consumers, as Obama himself admitted during a moment of
candor during the campaign, when he said that electricity costs would
"skyrocket" under his cap-and-trade proposal.
Obama isn't dumb
enough to believe that the many billions of dollars in costs that his
proposal will impose on energy companies, etc., will somehow disappear
thereafter. But he thinks you are.
Meanwhile, others are putting
out information, rather than disinformation, on the disaster that is
Waxman-Markey. Like the National Mining Association, which produced this
map showing, state by state, how many millions of dollars in costs will
be imposed on each state annually under the bill's allowance allocation
formula. Click to enlarge:
Here in Minnesota, we can
look forward to an additional $100 million+ in costs to be paid for
annually by taxpayers and energy consumers. Go
here to learn much more.
Waxman-Markey would be a very stupid bill even if it were true that
1) the earth is getting warmer, 2) human activity is mostly responsible
for climate changes, and 3) a warmer earth would be a bad thing. Given
that all three of these premises are false -- we cannot, in fact, control
the weather -- Waxman-Markey is a suicidal monument to human folly.
Scott adds: And enacting Obamacare is mandatory in order to save
money.
As I stated here, the Obama administratoin's operative
political theory is that the American people are incredibly dumb.

New Protections for Transgender Federal Workers |
Lawyers for President Obama are quietly drafting first-of-their kind
guidelines barring workplace discrimination against transgender federal
employees, officials said Tuesday.
The guidelines will be in an
updated federal handbook for managers and supervisors to be distributed
and posted online in the next couple of months, and they could also be
included in other materials for managers. They will list transgender
people -- those who identify their gender differently from the
information on their birth certificates -- as among several groups
protected by antidiscrimination laws.
Though transgender men and
women are not believed to make up more than a fraction of a percent of
the federal work force, their inclusion in the discrimination guidelines
is seen as a breakthrough by transgender and gay rights advocates.
"The president is making a very clear statement that transgender
people won’t be discriminated against," said Mara Keisling, the
executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, a
group that has been talking with the White House about the new
provisions.

Obama keeps his priorities in
order -- he ignores Iran, he ignores North Korea and he ignores the
Somali pirates, but he's on top of the transgender agenda. |
