WE ANNOUNCE THE 2003 PHC FILM AND SOUND FESTIVAL :::...


What is it?
-----------
PHC Film and Sound Festival is a *2* part event:

Films
-----
Submissions must be made in hacklog format...
OK, the file hacklog.c is attached.... to make an entry, use 'script' to
generate a typescript file of your hacking session, and use the -t option to
generate a timing file (e.g. `script -t 2>timing` will generate two files, a 
typescript file and a timing file). You can use the hacklog program to play
these programs back real time. This program was especially designed to make
this festival possible, by allowing you to make your own movies like the 
Mitnick movie from takedown.com! Submit both of your files, and have them put
on the official phrack website to be voted upon at the end of the contest.

Sounds
------
Make prank phone calls to your favorite scriptkids, whitehat security
professionals, security hobbyists who post to Bugtraq, infotech journalists,
etc. Submit the recorded conversations!

You can also write your own songs (raps, whatever) and record them. Send us
the song along with the lyrics.

Requirements/Regulations
------------------------
All submissions must be of a blackhat/illegal nature. If you wish to remain
anonymous, just choose a silly name under which you can make your submissions.
All film entries must be hacklog readable. All prank files must be in either
.wav or .mp3 format. Do not submit any graphic multimedia (ie if you are Adrian
Lamo hacking from Kinkos, the submission of 1024x768 .bmp screen captures will
NOT be admissible)! Please try to keep your terminal height/widths within the
bounds of reason! In other words, do not maximize an xterm on your 2048x1536
pixel display, and script the session. 80x24-type submissions are ideal. DO NOT
SUBMIT LOGS FROM STUPID CONTEST SERVERS (for example, pulltheplug) UNLESS YOU
ARE DOING SOMETHING CREATIVE, IE LOGGING ONTO NSA SERVERS FROM THEM, OR
ATTEMPTING TO CAUSE IRREVERSIBLE BIOS DAMAGE.
