The DC442 is a powerful instrument for decoding sub-audible squelch control tones as well as DTMF characters. The DC442 monitors the demodulated audio output from the communications receiver, service monitor, or scanner, and, automatically decodes Continuous Tone Controlled Squelch System (CTCSS) tones and Digitally Coded Squelch (DCS) codes. A unique feature of this instrument is that DTMF characters are simultaneously displayed with CTCSS or DCS digits on a two line alphanumeric LCD. The DC442 is equipped with a built-in RS232/CI-5 interface allowing it to connect directly to a personal computer or ICOM CI-V compatible receiver.

DC442Plus: The DC442Plus allows switching between LTR Trunking in real time, and LTR + Decode which displays LTR Trunking on one line and DTMF Decoding on the second line. The DC442Plus indicates four numeric fields of LTR data: Area Code, Home Repeater, User ID, and Current Repeater ID Estimate.
