PRO-2038 Programmable Scanner (200-0413) A General Guide Faxback Doc. # 18272 See "Guide to Scanning," Faxback Doc. 17653. Birdie Frequencies Birdies are frequencies your scanner uses when it operates. These operating frequencies might interfere with broadcasts on the same frequencies. If you program one of these frequencies, you hear only noise on that frequency. If the interference is not severe, you might be able to turn SQUELCH counterclockwise to cut out the birdie. These are the most common birdies to watch for: 31.200 MHz 161.895 MHz 446.300 MHz 41.600 MHz 162.295 MHz 508.700 MHz 52.000 MHz 168.325 MHz 511.400 MHz 114.400 MHz 169.530 MHz 511.4125 MHz 155.870 MHz 173.145 MHz (CS 10/16/95)
