Twin Truckers Dual Fiberglass Antennas
(210-0945) Installation Faxback Doc. # 40150

Assembly and Installation Instructions

We suggest that you read through the instructions first, then check the
parts with the illustration to see that everything has been included.

Be sure that your mirror mounts are well grounded to the body of your truck,
no rust and no insulators between the mounts and the truck body. This is
absolutely necessary for the proper operation of the dual antenna system.

The Dual Phasing coax cable assembly has been precisely cut to match the
antennas in this package. Do not cut or trim this coax cable. Coil any
excess cable inside the cab in a convenient place. Don't allow the doors
or windows to pinch or cut the coax cable.

The fiberglass antennas have been precision tuned at the factory and no
further adjustments are necessary.

Installing The Brackets

1. Determine the best position for the Antennas. The system should be
balanced, that is, each mounting in exactly the same location on each
    side of the cab.

2. Determine if you will have to install the Mounting Brackets (5) horizon-
tally (see illustration on Faxback Doc. # 40151) or vertically. (See
inset on Faxback Doc. # 40151)

3. Install the 1/4-20 Screws (8) and position the Mounting Bracket Clamps
    (7) as necessary for horizontal or vertical mounting as required.

4. Install each Mounting Bracket (5) and Mounting Bracket Clamp (7) to the
Mirror Mount Brackets as shown in Figure 1.

5. Tighten the Bracket and Clamp firmly over the Mirror Mount Bracket using
the Screws (8), Washers (9) and Nuts (10). This will insure a good
ground for the antennas and it's very important that they be secure.

Assembling The Antennas

Assemble each antenna as shown in the illustration.

1. Check for tightness of the Whip Adapter (3). DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Tighten approximately 1/4 turn after hand tightening will be sufficient.

2. Thread the Fiberglass Antenna (1) into Whip Adapter (3) using Lockwasher
    (2).

3. Holding the Adapter (3) with a 9/16 Inch wrench, tighten Antenna (1)
    with a 7/16 Inch wrench.

Connecting The Cable

1. Connect the center Connector, on the Dual Phasing Coax Harness (11), to
the back of your CB unit. Connect the other Coax Connectors to the base
of your antennas. You are now ready to operate your CB equipment.
