For Scanners, CBs, Radios, Tape Players, or Cellular Telephones

The Archer Portable Hump Mount provides a solid mounting surface for
almost any vehicle accessory you would normally mount under the days.
This type of mounting makes it easy for you to remove the unit from the
vehicle for security or to move the unit from one vehicle to another.
To mount your radio and speaker on the hump mount, proceed as follows:

1. Attach the mounting bracket supplied with your radio or other unit to
the hump mount, using the supplied hardware.

Use either set of pre-drilled slots to attach the bracket as close a
possible to the center of the hump mount.

2. Cut off the corners of the four supplied pieces of hook and loop tape.

3. Clean dirt and grease from the hump mount's vinyl trim, using alcohol
of some other degreasing cleaner. Do not use a vinyl protector
    product.

4. Remove the paper backing from the hook portions of the tape strips,
and press the hook tape into place as shown. The hooks on the tape
grab the carpet on the hump and help hold the hump mount in place.

    Note

If your vehicle's hump has carpet over it, skip to Step 6. If your
vehicle's center hump does not have carpet over it or if you have a
rubber mat over the carpet, proceed to Step 5.

5. Place the hump mount on your vehicle's hump and mark the position of
the hook tape. Then, clean the rubber mat at these locations and
attach the loop portions of the tape to them.

6. Mount the radio or other unit to its mounting bracket, and place the
hump mount over your vehicle's hump.

    Note:

Follow the wiring instructions in the radio or other units' owner's
manual and/or installation manual. For CBs, scanners radios, tape
players, or cellular phones, ask the personnel at your local
Radio Shack for assistance with connection accessories.

    Caution:

Do not use the hump mount as an electrical ground connection.
