If your CB is not working as it should, follow these suggestions to try to
eliminate the problem.  If these tips do not solve the problem, do not
attempt repairs or adjustments yourself.  Take your CB to your local Radio
Shack store for assistance.

If you experience trouble receiving:

  Make sure POWER is ON and VOLUME is not set to minimum.

  Make sure SQUELCH is adjusted properly.

  Make sure the RF gain is set to high.

  Make sure the CB is switched to an operating channel.

  Make sure the microphone is securely connected.

  Make sure the antenna cable is securely connected to the antenna
  connector.

  Make sure PA-MON-CB is set to MON or CB.

If you experience trouble transmitting:

  Make sure POWER is ON and VOLUME is not set to minimum.

  Make sure PA-MON-CB is set to CB.

  Make sure the antenna cable is securely connected to the antenna
  connector.

  Make sure the antenna if fully extended.

  Make sure all connections are secure and free of corrosion.

  Make sure the microphone is securely connected.

If the CB is completely inoperative:

  Check the DC power cord and in-line fuse.

  Replace the fuse with only an identical 2-amp fuse (see "Replacing the
  Fuse" on Faxback Doc. # 45047).
