BEFORE YOU CALL FOR HELP

The frequencies stored in the PRO-34 memory are held for approximately one
hour without AA batteries or adapter power.  Check memory contents after
replacing batteries.

IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS...

We hope you don't - but here are some suggestions.

TROUBLE                           CHECK

Unit does not function.           Batteries are not correctly installed.
                                  Check to be sure the + and - terminals
                                  are properly aligned.

                                  Batteries are dead.  Replace with new
                                  ones.

No reception/poor reception       Antenna is not correctly installed.
                                  Check connector.

                                  Environment is not suitable for scanner.
                                  Relocate unit and try again.

                                  Frequencies are not properly programmed.
                                  Check and reprogram.

Error appears on the display      Programming error.  Check frequency and
                                  try again.

Keyboard does not work/           Key-Lock switch is set to Lock.  Slide
cannot program                    switch to Key.

Keys are inoperative/LCD          Press RESET switch.
display is random.

If none of these suggested remedies solves the problem, take your scanner
to your nearby RadioShack for assistance.
