18V Ni-Cd and Ni-MH Battery Charger
(230-0349) Operation Faxback Doc. # 52938

WARNING: Do not use your charger to charge non-rechargeable (such as
alkaline) batteries. Attempting to charge non-rechargeable
batteries can cause the batteries to become extremely hot and
          possibly explode.

Follow these steps to charge Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries.

1. Turn off the walkie-talkie or remote controlled car that contains the
    batteries you want to charge.

2. Connect the battery charger's barrel plug to the charging jack on your
walkie-talkie or car. If necessary, refer to the owner's manual for
    that product.

3. Set Ni-Cd/Ni-MH to Ni-Cd to charge Ni-Cd batteries, or to Ni-MH to
    charge Ni-MH batteries.

4. Plug the battery charger into a standard AC outlet. The indicator
lights green if Ni-Cd/Ni-MH is set to Ni-Cd, or red if it is set to
    Ni-MH.

CAUTIONS: Do not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries.

The indicator lights during normal charging. It also
lights if you attempt to recharge non-rechargeable alkaline
               batteries. Check to be certain.

If the indicator does not light, this could mean the
rechargeable batteries are defective or the adapter is in
               the wrong jack.

5. Charging time depends on the voltage of the batteries.

       Number of AA
        Batteries Hours
           12 18
           10 16.5
            8 15

The charger automatically stops charging when charging is complete.
Disconnect the charger from the AC outlet, then from the product.
