If your TRC-238 is not working as it should, follow these suggestions to 
see if you can eliminate the problem.  If you cannot, take the TRC-238 to 
your local RadioShack store for assistance.

Symptom:                     Suggestion:

Trouble with reception.      Be sure the TRC-238 is turned on.

                             Be sure VOLUME is turned up.

                             Be sure SQUELCH is adjusted properly.

                             Be sure you are not pressing PTT on the side
                             of the TRC-238.

Trouble with transmission.   Be sure the antenna is securely connected to
                             the TRC-238.

                             Clean and tighten all connectors.

                             BE sure you are fully pressing PTT on the
                             side of the TRC-238.

TRC-238 does not work when   Be sure the fuse in the DC power cord's plug
connected to DC power.       is not blown.

                             Be sure the metal tip on the adapter is
                             firmly attached.
