HOW TO QUICKLY MODIFY THE SMALL MOTOROLA AMPLIFIERS

Open the lid using a torx screwdriver ( a small slotted screwdriver will also work). Use a screwdriver or some other tool to pull up the black membrane - the edges of the membrane are sharp, and you could get cut if not careful.

Pull out the ribbon cable, cut the two coax cables and the black and red power wires close to the connectors, remove and discard the old plate.

Prepare a new aluminum plate with connectors of your liking. Strip the coax cables and the two DC power cables, connect them to your new plate and insert the new plate in the slot. Close the lid and power up the amplifier with 24-26 VDC and 5W or so of RF drive.
