Subject: RE: [TSCM-L] {4912} Blackberry spyware?

Yep, I'd already advised him to get a new Blackberry.

The fact that the spy replied to the SMS text message he sent himself
suggests the possibility his phone was cloned (unlikely, i know, as that's
more difficult these days), so I told him a new phone (w/different ESN)
would be preferable to simply wiping his current phone.

Good suggestion on setting security on his Bluetooth apps.

Thanks!

-Ed

Even if he wiped his suspect phone, that=20

Simple solution
Go to sprint, get a new blackberry,
Or wipe the handheld and reload the OS on it
Tell him not to open anything from strangers and set protection on Bluetoot=
h
apps, last but not least, don't let anyone get the phone in their hands
