Greetings.
I have a client who has an interesting request. I need to obtain a
material that absorbs an unusually high amount of sound while allowing
air-flow through it. My first thoughts were some type of foam, but as i
am not an acoustical engineer, or even close to, i am simply swinging in
the dark. Another of my uneducated thoughts are something only a few
inches thick, which could have some sort of method for air to pass
through, while absorbing the sound waves contained within that air and
which does not allow the sound to pass through the materials themselves.
I figure this group is a good starting point for this search. What say ye?
