For what it is worth, this may relate somewhat to the non-lethal
microwave systems developed by the military for crowd control, etc.

This is from Page 5 of the Letters to the Editor section of the
magazine "Nexus" - Volume 16, Number 2 - March - April, 2009. The

"Feline Electrosensitivity

Hi Duncan: I am a retired electronics engineer and was experimenting
in my workshop, attempting to replicate Tesla's extra-high-voltage,
very short DC pulses and their accompanying phenomena.

My cat was sitting contentedly on the carpeted floor nearby. As soon
as I started up the pulses, about two per second at 30,000 volts -
very heavy amperage but microseconds long - my cat had a seizure, a
fit. He spasmed violently, shaking his paws and head all over the
place and drooling, his tongue hanging out. HIs eyes were like
searchlights.

I quickly turned off the equipment. After 30 seconds, my cat stopped
gyrating and slowly returned to normal, gradually losing an asthmatic-
sounding breathing. He was very disoriented for about five minutes
after.

Ten minutes later, I resumed my testing. Again my cat had another fit,
so I turned off the equipment. Coincidence?

Next day, my cat was in the workshop again. I started up the
equipment and immediately he started twitching his head violently, so
straight away I turned off the power. This time he was alright.

My equipment delivers extremely powerful pulses and I have to
disconnect my Brother answer-phone machine in advance or it loses its
'memory'!

Whilst I felt nothing, obviously 'somethiing' is extending beyond the
bench.

Feedback and suggestions are welcomed.

"[Dear Steele: Interesting. My only other comment is that your cat
must really love you! Ed.]"
