I happen to agree with Onion's comments. You can get most people to
give up some privacy by offering them a discount, or by otherwise
sugar-coating the privacy-invading feature. The examples are
legion. Consumer education about privacy with respect to the goods &
services they use is at an all-time low, and unlike some EU countries
the U.S. has relatively little in privacy protection laws.
